I am considering making a video game on byond.com based on HXH. It will include using Nen to fight. Would anyone like to join my team? It would help and I would include your name in my team if I release the game.
"Until now... I got through it well. I managed to come back from the edge of hell several times. You can say it develops a kind of intuition, And what that intuition tells me now, is... This... is where I'll die." -Squala
"The hopelessness was suffocating. I loved it." -Cinnabar
Hello. I need your help. The thing is I am in the process of developing an HXH video game and I need to learn as much as possible about the HXH world. What are the cities? How do the cities look like? What you can do in hxh world? What privileges of having a hunter license? What could be fun things to do in a HXH game? Take the hunter exam, learn nen, create your own hatsu, explore unexplored territory, collect rare items, fight strong people. What else? I am guessing the point of this game is to become powerful or successful. I will do a fine trick: to the person who contributed more to my game, if they are a hunter already, they get a star.
A guild type system might be a good approach. For example, someone could decide to start off in an organization like the Zoldyck family, the Ryodan, or the Hunter Organization. Since anyone can be hunters though, maybe they choose their path and become members of multiple organizations(like Illumi is a Hunter and a member of the Zoldyck family, Hisoka is a Hunter and was in the Ryodan, and Kalluto is a Zoldyck and joined the Ryodan). Or they could decide to become a certain type of hunter and earn points by completing related objectives. Some of the hunter types we've seen: Gourmet, Sea, Crime, Dark(Underworld).
maybe looking at the HxH wiki would give you some ideas?
They have a list of types of hunters you can be. Maybe in your game, after passing the hunter exam, you could have the player pick his/her nen type and choose what kind of hunter he/she wants to be and have a set of quests etc. accordingly. Although if you do it that way, it would be going the RPG route... did you intend this to be primarily a fighting game? like street fighter or something?
You should make it simliar to Green Island's game.
Where all the player need to collect all the cards and win the prize, at the end they could keep 1 of the card, very simple and normal game, and to obtain the card, I guess we have to level up your nen/hastu so on. From the way I see it, most people who watch or read this manga are young middle age, based on your ideas about that online game, look like for young kid 7 to 15, unless you make it for IOS or Andriod, or ps3/xbox
Or we can start with a normal person and go thru all the tests to become a pro hunter, considering Gon and Killua as your partner, not to mention, single or mutli players?
of course any nen user who use nen in front of the joystation will get transported to this island.
those are the cities..
Starting Point: This is where all players come when they start the game.
Magic City of Masadora: This is the only place on the island where Spell Cards can be purchased.
Port City Soufrabi: A place where the player can find a method to leave Greed Island and return to the real world. It can be attained by bribing or knocking out the Harbor Master...razor is located here he is a game master
The City of Love, Aiai: Filled with almost every 'romantic' scenario. Hisoka considers it a nice place to spend time.
City of Prizes, Antokiba: Every month a different contest is held, with differing prizes for each month. Specified Slot Card can be won during the 'even' months. It is one of the two starting cities.
Gambling City Dorias: Plenty of casinos are located in here, and this is also where some cards can only be acquired by playing in here. The item "Risky Dice" can be useful here.
Rubicuta City: Another starting city in the game because of its short distance from the island's main entrance.
Capital City, Limeiro: The capital of Greed Island that can only be accessed by those who have completed the Specified Slot Cards and won the End of Game Quiz to receive card 000-Ruler's Blessing. Dwun and List live here..they are game masters.
Spell Card Shop: Where players can purchase spell cards at a given price. When spell cards are used or players leave the game, the inventory of cards are replenished.
-the next challenge will be the making of the 100 slot cards..
All items that are picked up on the island transform into cards. These items can be materialized into item form again by holding it and saying "Gain". If the item is not placed in the binder within a minute, cards that are turned into items cannot be returned into their card form again and the player would need to find the same item once more to get the card version again. Cards cannot be used outside of Green Island, and will not respond to "Gain," unless they are one of the three placed in a special binder obtained by clearing the game. Then they may be used in real life. There are four distinctive sets of different cards. These are the 100 Restricted Slot Cards, the 40 Spell Cards, the Unrestricted Slot Cards and the Game Master only Cards.
Parts of the card
Upper left - Item/Card Designation Number
Upper center - Item Name
Upper Right - Acquirement difficulty and Number of Allowable Card Transformation Limit
Center - Item Illustration
Bottom - Item description / Function
Card Rank/Acquirement Difficulty Levels
Each card has a difficulty level that's written on the upper right of the card. There are a total of 9 levels that's listed below, from the most difficult to the most easiest to get in the game.
Maximum Card Transformations Limit
There is a limit on how many items can be transformed into cards. Once that limit is reached other players that acquire the same item will not get it into its card form. The higher the card rank is, the lower its Card Transformations Limit would be.
