But well, so much for Mashima dragging Fairy Tail. Those were three chapters with huge and refreshing steps ahead towards the next arc. Next seems to be dealing with Tartaros, won't it.
omg i still cant get over this epic moment.
Seeing as how zeref and mavis knew each other i hope we will know how mavis died or get into the spirit mode anyway. I wouldnt be surprised if mashima revives her lol
I dunno if anyone's brought this up, but what Doranbalt said bothers me..... I really hope he didn't wipe the guilds' memories about the dragons. 'Cause if he did, that would be beyond stupid.
Given that it came in the chapter after... it's possible, although Mavis at least would still remember. Since he didn't tamper with Crime Sorciere's memories, and since Rogue still knew it was his future self who had caused all the trouble, it looks like he was only referring to people involved in the council.
Speaking of Ultear, I still kinda wish she stayed with CS. I mean, seriously, can you just imagine an elderly Ultear whacking Jellal with her cane everytime he screws things up?? Judging by what's been hinted, Jellal's been a bit of a Leeroy Jenkins during the timeskip. I would honestly love to see comedic moments like that between them. Ultear would finally learn how Makarov feels... XD
Wow, that scene with Mavis and Zeref is really epic.. What about Cobra? He doesn't seem to be a good guy yet.. Still a bit crazy. Tartaros, however, might be Zeref's guild in opposite to Fairy Tail being Mavis. But what about the timeline? Shouldn't Zeref lived already decades ago? If Mavis was his sister, why didn't she found Fairy Tail only about maybe 70-80 years ago? How did she die? Did she really die? Did she ever really exist? Maybe she was that kind of spirit for a long time.
Be as it be, i really want to see a flashback of Mavis battling Zeref.
At least Ultear's sacrifice wasn't meaningless in the end, time travel whichever way it works doesn't restore life in FT's universe.
In a sense Ultear's magic worked with linear rewind of time whereas the gate worked like trasition of parallel timelines.
I have a feeling we are going to swing back to lumen histoire in the next chapters. btw is there a reason why we are getting multiple chapters at a time?
Most of the chapter was fluff, but the conversation between Zeref and Mavis was stimulating. How is Mavis such a boss?
