That is why I already said some sites' links can be understood and some (Batoto, if I recall right, would be the hardest to decipher) cannot. I don't see what's so inconvenient about listing actual page #s with your link. Then I can go to Mangabird or somewhere that isn't compatible, considering everybody puts links from different sites (if everyone used the same site, I'd just set that site to display one page at a time) and I don't want to sit there loading the entire chapter for every single link people post. (Right now I sometimes click the link when the page # is evident, but only if I really need to see the thing to understand what someone is saying.)

So we know that Ymir was walking around aimlessly as a Titan for 60 years (or maybe not so aimlessly). That is a very long time. As we know, the Titans like to find humans to eat, that is their thing, so what in the heck do Titans do all day? Just roam around the land until they find a human civilization to eat? Seem like it. So if Ymir was walking around this whole entire time maybe, we can assume that she is from a far away place? It took her 60 years to get from wherever she was from to Humanity? Just a thought.
After all, it's been said humanity has been living inside the walls for ~100 years, but we really don't know if any significant community is/was living in another outside location. We do know she was not born a Titan, but sadly enough have no other element about what her prior background is.
Oh and by the way, the fact she has been a Titan for 60 years kind of explains why she can read the forgotten language. If she is that old, then we can assume the first/second generation of post-titan-crisis humans still knew how to read that specific way of writing. A knowledge which seems to have been long since forgotten: after all, people living inside the walls supposedly are the offspring of a lot of different lands and cultures, so it's not that far fetched to believe they kind of dropped their own individual languages and ways of writing slowly over time.
Well, if we trust ymir it does seem like she belongs to some form of royalty. Overall it makes sense.... being born into royalty implies she is born to serve others so to speak. Whether she was an actual queen or whether she was simply trying to look pretty for others remains to be seen however at large her noble origins have been at least implied. Then there is the fact that a titan mentioned specifically her. Why would a titan mention her? As far as we know the only recent titanism outbreak was the one where connie's family disappeared however other than that we have no reason to believe there had been others within the walls.
Now, the whole thing leads to ymir somehow being from outside the walls. Now, the other relevant thing to consider here is that ymir does in fact say she died at some point in the past and her only wish was to live a life for her own sake. It would seem natural that her "death" was merely her being turned into a titan and wandering for 60 years.
So what we have is that at some point in the past ymir was royalty, shit went crazy, she became a titan and wandered. The issue here would be where exactly she got her information from. How is she familiar with the warriors beyond the wall? Perhaps when she met reyner and berholt and ate their friend near to where the warriors were.... Well, her titan form is quite fast so perhaps she awoke within the wall and at some point just kinda went to check out what lied beyond the wall and found the warriors only to escape them preferring to live among humans.
Now, there is another scenario. We know from the covers and whatnot that humans came from another continent to where the walls were built. They took ships and a lot of boats went missing. What if ymir comes from the people in other boats? Perhaps they survived in a boat for a few decades until the boat finally gave out. Or perhaps they found an uninhabited island where there were no titans. Then titans got there, they tried to make it to the walls but couldn't ymir died and became a titan wandering until she somehow got to the walled human nation or the warriors.
The point about boats going missing and survivors taking shelter in some other unknown spot of the world is quite an interesting one, regardless if Ymir was among those hypothetical people...
On those covers it was also said that only the rich and powerful were transported in boats. That would probably include royalty from various nations which would make Ymir one of those 'survivors' descendants. Cool idea.
edit: IIRC the covers said that half the boats went missing? Maybe they were just taken to other settlements on purpose and weren't told about it.
edit2: And so if Ymir was in those other prebuilt settlements and was royalty, that's why she would be like Chirsta, and that's how she would know so much about the world as those secrets would be passed in her family as well.
