The problem with waiting for a frustrating/anguish moment was pretty much it relied upon unpredictable circumstances, Jiraiya weakening the seal and allowing it an easier time possessing Naruto. Outside of that, it couldn't make such an attempt, meaning it likely would have had to wait another generation before another chance came up again.
Would Naruto have really died? Or would the kyuubi have just been able to pull the strings? Wish we knew more about bijuu and jinchuuriki.Quote:
See, I take that to mean that Naruto would still exist, just as subordinate to the kyuubi. Considering him dead does make more sense though.Quote:

One would think being immortal would mean not caring about being gone for a few years if it meant freedom.
With the recent stuff we have been told about the Juubi, I would think that's it's some sort of embodiment of the planet.
You mean like a puppet, like Naruto became during the fight with Pain? That would have been a cool direction for Kishi to have gone.
Unless you don't wish to die because nobody sane would want that, we've gone a full circle and are in the beginning again.
One would think that an immortal being has no interest in being immortal as it's boring as fuck. Gyūki has lost a teeth and horn, so I'm not so sure about the whole revival theory going on. When we have see Naruto turn Kyubi against Nagato he was clearly having muscles and bones, so no, he's not just chakra.

That's what I've been saying since the juubi was revealed to be a torrent of natural energy. Wait, it was described as being the progenitor of everything... was that tree around before people? The planet? Either way it seems part of the natural order and just killing it would likely not get rid of it.Quote:
Yes. And it would have been awesome to know that our hero still had some flaws to work through, but he just hasn't since Part II began. And the few times he *did* have things to work through, he didn't do it on his own like any adult has to, his dead daddy- and then dead mommy- saved his ass at the last second. Ugh. I wish it was about the acceptance of despair in life rather than "CLAP YOUR HANDS IF YOU BELIEVE AND YOU WON'T BE AN ORPHAN ANYMORE!"Quote:
Kishimoto found a way to kill the bijuu without killing them, so Naruto won't look like a failure, and so he can't promote the "kill the bijuu if you wan to avoid what happened in this war" type of ending.Originally Posted by badluckartist
He's going to have them go "home" to return to the tree. Bagoromo mentioned that they would be together again some day. The Bijuu see that Naruto's the one who's gonna do it. By becoming a giant tree and taking away the world's chakra, man will have a longer lasting peace before war breaks out again because all forms of city-busting weaponry will disappear once people lose access to chakra.
Until someone eats the fruit after the next millenia. Obito should just transport the fruit to the moon with Kamui after having been redeemed.
The Hachibi hasn't been resurrected since it lost it's horn or teeth. And the flesh, muscles, and bones are all made of transformed chakra. They can't be said to be more then that when we not only know that they were literally created just from it, but all of them basically exist as such inside their host. Orochimaru did the same.
Dang it Rikudou! We have to appreciate our fellow living brothers. We can't just have them die. That's the negative way of thinking. Lets give them there own separate dimension to live in or travel through atleast. LET THEM LIVE!!
Seeing old chapters, I conclude that Kishimoto used to draw better...
It's not like sleeping, it's like dying and being dead for a while. Why should it be any different for the biju than humans? Maybe it will be crippled next time it wakes up, maybe being dead is different for the biju and it's not like being in a cryogenic sleeping chamber, but being conscious and it will have to wait for days, weeks, months, years until enough chakra is reformed to build a body. It's a frightening though and possibility.
