does KB use chakra?
i've tried locating a chapter page in which any character states KB uses up a quantity of chakra
the term commonly used is divides chakra not once has anyone stated it uses chakra
heres the wiki
even back when naruto was learning how to use the QB, the only warning naruto was given was that the kyuubi would consume his chakra easier cuase it was divided and not used up even tobirama the creator said dividedCode:Overview Similar to the basic Clone Technique, this technique creates copies of the user. However, these clones are corporeal, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing techniques on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after hit by a strong enough force. The clones can also disperse on their own or be dispelled by the user of the technique. Shadow clones can't be distinguished from the actual person even by dōjutsu because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra as the original, and aren't made from any other substance like water clones are for example. Usage Because of the manner in which the clones are created, the user must divide their chakra among the clones, potentially using up all their chakra fairly quickly if the user is low on chakra, or makes too many clones. This is especially problematic when the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique is used; whereas the normal version will only create a few clones, the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique can create hundreds.
MY OPINION is that KB doesnt use chakra but divides it, thus the reason naruto can spam it without running of chakra and yes he does get tired but from the fatigue accumulated in said battle and not from the tech (excluding chakra consumption of clone) itself
further proved by naruto sharing his chakra with the alliance why didnt he get tired from sharing his chakra cause dividing chakra and using chakra are 2 different things
what do you think???

Oh Tobirama, always bragging about your jutsu 8)
Dividing chakra still means the original user is losing chakra, that is why the Tajuu Kage Bushin is a forbidden technique, because when a normal person creates 100 clones, they divide their chakra so much that they have only a minuscule amount left to fight with.
Regarding Naruto and Kage Bushin, the only logical way for any of his clone usage to make sense is if when clones are destroyed or canceled, all the chakra they haven't used returns to the user (This would explain how the user can learn from them, because their memories become 'imprinted' on the chakra). If the chakra didn't return to the user, Naruto would have been knocking on deaths door multiple times in this series.
Haven't we seen several times Naruto becoming worn out from creating clones? I suppose Tobirama's recent explanation implies that there is always a connection between the user and the clones til there's not even a trace of chakra left.
I had an idea about how this works, but I never actually voiced my opinion about it because I have no proof.
Kage Bunshin follows the same law as Kuchiyose (summoning). The chakra cost of the bunshin is determined by the amount of bunshin. So... let's say that Tajuu Kage
Bunshin would cost as much as summoning 1 giant boss summon.
The actual "splitting" of chakra doesn't happen until the chakra cost is payed to create the clone bodies. Like this:
Say Naruto has 100 chakra. He creates 3 clones. It costs 5 chakra to create one clone. So he spends 15 chakra to make the bodies.
This leaves real Naruto at 85 chakra. Then, that 85 chakra is split up evenly amongst 4 bodies (3 clones, aswell as himself), making all of their total chakras 21.25.
After Sasuke kickes the asses of these clones, they die. Then, the 5 chakra spent on each clone disappears completely, but the 21.25 in each other body go back into real Naruto. Bringing Naruto's maximum down 85 chakra.
TL; DR: Naruto spends a clone cost, THEN his remaining chakra is split. After the clones die, the split chakra becomes whole again by returning to Naruto's body. SPLIT chakra returns to him. SPENT chakra is lost.
I think that's an accurate interpretation. This is why he gets tired from using clones, because it's just like spending chakra for any other jutsu... except you get a percentage back (the split percentage, not the spent percentage).
Is it mentioned some where that when a clone is disabled user gets his / her chakra back, as well as all the knowledge clone got ??? If user do not get it back then yah that consumes a lot of chakra
Yes. Kakashi explains this to Naruto during the Fuuton Rasengan training (rock, paper, scissors). Plus, when Naruto needed a sage chakra buff to replace fusing with Fukusaku, he made clones that gathered sage chakra because when they were released the chakra would return to him.
