I don't know if I'm just of easy tears, but damn this episode was very emotional and I almost cried for that little girl.
Excellent episode for me and I'm looking forward to seeing the next one.
It felt like there will be no plot from this point on. So far, it's episodic story telling. Maybe that "more powerful than our suit" stuff might come back to be a connecting point. The drama part wasn't bad, I guess.
Ibara is definitely the most human character of the show so far. That mom is odd, she would have preferred to see her daughter die to keep her freedom? I can understand her despair but it's still odd and nonsensical IMO, I was wondering what was the father thinking at the end as well, maybe he was condemned but he should have at least let Ibara help him. It's not as if Miku was smiling, his death would not help too, she would become an orphan. All of this was forced drama but the episode was good nonetheless, better than the 1st, Ibara became more likable.
I have a question for manga readers, isn't it better to be a prisoner than living alone in Tokyo like that? I guess the prisoners are fed, while the others must struggle to find food everyday. Don't respond if it's too spoilerish.
I like episode 2 way more than episode 1. Less goofing around, more emotions. Of course it felt like they wanted to make me sad while watching it but at least they tried. It was nice to see, that those dolls have human emotions and aren't just puppets.
The only thing I'm not quite sure of is, how this show will end. Will there be some kind of climax in the future?

Episode 2 was much better than episode one but still barely watchable. The suspenseful moment was nice and all at least but too many waterworks that it came out just kind of silly and a waste of time. Some of the visuals like the building effects, the random smoke coming down, and how it was, as well as the scenery somehow managed to keep my attention way more than the actual characters. Hopefully things change whenever the epic grenade user in the OP finally gets in action, seems like best character material.
A sudden story development!
So the one who built the power plant which caused the disaster was the delivery man after all.....
I really enjoyed this episode and I wonder who these guys who appeared in the ruins of Tokyo are....
Looking forward to watching the next episode.
Finally some sort of plot. This was definitely way better than the random stuff in the first two episodes. I hope the scientist doesn't just go out and sacrifice himself, though. If he can offer some service to improve that world, it'll be way better.
Hm still not a bin fan of this show but it is't bad. The dialogue differs between meh and great.
Anyway this little arc is over... They saved the professor...
I guess they'll have to defeat the guys who "hurt" this city in the end.
So it all ended well this time; at least Ibara didn't break down because of her past "mistakes".
Next week's episode seems to be interesting, but I wonder where this show is going.....
It's not like I don't like it, but it seems that the professor's arc was way too short...
Oh, well, othere plot developmnets will come.
Even more enemies showed up... I wonder what they are planing with the dangerous waste... Furthermore the prime minister is very annoying...
About time we see more of the Coppelion squads.
I wonder if we will see romance...
I hope next weeks episode will be fun too.
I hope next week brings the grenade dude, Ive been waiting for so long.
Laughed a lot at the phone call with the prime minister scene though, their reactions to Ibara after it was all done, hilarious.
I'm looking forward to seeing the cleaning squad. I peaked at the manga, episode five adapted chapter 23, from volume three. Not the fastest paced series.
Still feels episodic, to be honest. I don't know if he will ever appear again, but the saving the professor part was the most story-related thing so far, hence I enjoyed it the most. But we will get to see someone who is also immune to the contamination, apparently. This will be refreshing, since the three-girl team can get only little development in character without any further interaction.
From what I have seen of the manga, it is episodic, and stays that way. Coppelion nineteen volumes long, a lot can change. The anime has already adapted a lot of the manga, but it's only one cour, they're only going to adapt a limited amount. At this point my feeling is that the anime probably will remain episodic, following the girls as they rescue people in Tokyo. With each rescue we learn a little more about the girls, and a little more about their world. Coppelion should have been two cour. One is not enough to really explore it's world.
The evil plan is revealed... They want to destroy the whole world... Talking abut insanity...
Furthermore it seems that the other two members of the Cleaner squad are now part of the enemy... If they hate humans as much as Haruto does...
Furthermore those girls are really creepy for some reason...
