Yes, but the ranking there is updated daily. Yesterday volume 1 was almost in the top 50, but today it fell 85th and some volumes surparssed it. Maybe it outsold? I think volume 1 is suffering problems of print again. Let's see the next days, Shueisha has to follow it seriously.

Having stock problems with vol 1, after the start of the anime is a bad idea... Shueisha needs to step it up.

It hasn't been announced that there are stock problems. It's speculation

More than speculation it was the only volume in amazon that had 2-4 weeks before the anime, at least there, it had (and still has) stock problems.

Hell, I've even seen the digital volume 1 in top 100 for 2 days!

Wasn't there a site showing the reprints plan?

Yes, there was. I'd like to see this site, too.

I saw some sites recommended by Shueisha here and some of them are out of stock or with a considerably number of days of shipping. I think that problem of stock is not only speculation anymore. XD

Not necessarily implying that the amount of twitter followers is indicative of a series' popularity, but the Isobe twitter account was created near the end of November, and it already has 10,000 followers. Soma and World Trigger's ones were created a little over a month before then (October 20th or so) and each have a little over 12,000 followers.

Sasaki doesn't follow the Isobe twitter, but the Soma and Trigger pages do, so it's probably official.

Those of you who watch Hunter x Hunter, about how far through the current arc are they? If possible, could you estimate about how many more episodes to finish up the arc?

They are up to chapter 268. Arc finishes in chapter 318. If they keep the current pace of aproximately 2'5 manga chapters per anime episode, that will take about 20ish chapters. But I guess it will take less since pace should get faster as things move forward.

Still the election arc to go as well though. Initially didn't Madhouse announce they intended to animate ALL of Hunter x Hunter? If so I'd assume they would wrap up the 2011 anime with the ending the manga used for the last batch of chapters. I get a new arc technically started but an open ended ending is better for a series that is likely to continue. Plus I've been secretly hoping Togashi will return when they finish airing the current anime. More useless speculation: VIZ is releasing volume 32 of the manga in April and they have always remained behind the Japanese releases so....*fingers crossed*

Well seeing how the end of the Election arc (chapter 339) works very well as a final chapter for the series in general, it would just be dumb of Madhouse not to stop there.

Perhaps Beelzebub will be the first JUMP manga to end this year, with the newest chapter it almost feels as if he is rushing towards ending this by the end of February or something.

I agree, everything happened in a blink of an eye. Beelzebub can come to an end in two or three weeks this way.

I strongly disagree that it'll end in just a few weeks. The pacing would have to be so ridiculously fast, instead of battles lasting a few chapters as has been the norm with the manga, they'd last only a few pages, which only happens when Oga confronts, say, the MK5, not the strongest antagonist ever in the series. Also, shouldn't Saotome and the Great Demon Lord at least be returning sometime soon? Why would Beelzebub resolve its storyline without even the two of them returning? And just because the manga's been low on the ToC for a month or two, why would it even deserve such an imminent cancellation, given how long it's survived and the successes it's had over the past 5 years? To compare, Nura stayed near rock bottom on the ToC for several months before it concluded, only to get three special chapters on Jump Next to wrap up (I know the latter point is a unique case, but it still didn't last as long as Beelzebub).

I will admit there's still a good chance a portion of the elements to resolve the plot will be left out anyways, like the sea of characters that got put on buses and the themes that never really gained much merit. But it's simply impossible the manga will end within the next few weeks.

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2013-2014] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 3

I will avoid the plot discussion because it is not the right place to discuss, but regarding the TOC position, it is not a problem of a month or two. Beelzebub has gotten low rank for a long time now, it is most of time in the verge of the bottom 5 or inside it, only saved by new series which failed. The sales has decreased, too.
I don't know if the series will end in the next round or not, but by how the story is going, it will not see the end of this semester.

I didnt think Beelzebub is ending in response to its rank but just rather the story.

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2013-2014] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 3

I predict that Beelzebub's recent pace is something of a red herring, I don't think it's going to end so quickly, so I don't see it ending in the next round. However, I would say that its weeks are numbered, I can see it ending in a few months. Probably before the middle of the year.
