Do tell how volume one is.
In No Game No Life the games aspect starts to remind me of Mondaijitachi ga Isekai Kara Kuru Sou Desu yo? (Well simply because its also based around "games")
Do you have a link for the 2013 KanoRano winners? I either missed it, or can't remember them.

Started reading Rokka no Yuusha. It's pretty good, I like the universe too, there is a lot of potential.
Not sure if I spoiler tag this
I started reading Mahouka Koukou yesterday, and currently I am somewhere around page 40. I like it so far, love the author's effort to explain every single details on how the worlds work.
I finished the first two volumes of Tokyo Ravens, and will now be switching back to Mahouka. Fans of the Tokyo Ravens anime will also like the novels. The anime is very faithful to the original. Nothing significant from the first two volumes was left out, the pace of the anime is identical to the novels. The first five episodes cover volume one and two.
Continued more reading of no Game No Life to chp 2...does it really stay that ecchi, because, well its a bit much, bewbie grabbing, posing, the materials scene, cameras in the bath with his 11 yo imouto...

I started reading Psycome, a funny harem comedy, today. There are two chapters translated so far, a new teaser project at BT.
I'm starting reading Hakushaku to Yousei again, largely because I finally found translations. I'm also starting reading some short stories of the Twelve Kingdoms I haven't read. For some reason, I'm still holding off on reading the next volumes of SAO. Probably because I was really disappointed in the volumes following SAO arc, but if the newest arc is indeed better, I might read them next.
I am rereading the Enrollment arc of Mahouka to refresh my mind before the anime, I still maintain that it became better at Vol 04 but can't believe I am actually liking to read these magic explanations so much now .
I will start NGNL after this, the anime will surely motivate some translators.
Nine Schools Competition and Yokohama Disturbance are better arcs, but Enrollment Chapter was still very good.
I finished reading Ring by Suzuki Koji -yes, that Ring- and now I'm a third way through Rasen.
Personally I don't find the books as scary as the films due to the differences between them, but it's definitely a good read for someone who likes mystery and suspense. It's been translated in English from Vertical, Inc.
If you count translating as reading, well yes, I'm actually reading the Kotenbu series right now.
I also bought the Biblia Koshodou no Jiken Techou light novels but have only read like a few lines into it.
A friend suggested I read Baccano! and Vamp. I've read the Hakushaku to Yousei ones like a few years ago but gave up since translations were really sparse (Plus I have no money to buy the original light novels from Kino).
I've read a yaoi light novel as well, it was... At least it was something that I don't usually read.
And just in case somebody here plans on reading the Strawberry Panic light novel... don't. Unless you wanna read it for laughs.
And my friend bought the Durarara! light novel cause she wanted to practice her Japanese so I might try reading that when I have the time.
I tend to stay away from the ones with ecchi or the really popular light novels like SAO (A friend told me not to read it cause it was frustrating?) or most other titles on Baka-tsuki.
The Kotenbu series is really interesting though, if you're somewhat bored with all the typical mysteries aka someone has to die or anything that's too dramatic. It just tends to make mysteries out of daily life. Apparently the Biblia series is the same as well. I do need to spruce up my light novel collection, I might go for random titles from Amazon (related items lol) or just try and look up rankings for light novels.
