Also Gambit destroyed them that game. What would the difference be with a slightly more fed Renekton? None. He would have been a little stronger, but Darien would have provided roughly the same annoyance/disruption in team fights even with a little less gold. This is so dumb IMO.
But, dude, it's the first time something like this has ever been consdered as far as I know (replaying a game), it's not like the ref had specific rules to follow and knew perfectly how to procceed.

And also... you never know. It's kinda like Germany 4 England 1 in the last WC. Germany played better and won by 3 goals, but England scored a 2-2 that wasn't validated (and it should had). Not only did it change the way they have to perform (as it's not the same being behind as having a tie) but it affects you morally.

In real sports, the game shouldn't be replayed and the ref would had been penalized... but as I said, the dude surely didn't know exactly how to procceed so we can't blame him.

OMG the temptation. I have exactly the amount of RP I want for skins when they come to sale (maybe a bit less but screw it), but I dunno if I'll resist to self gift me :/

You get 3pts for 2-0, 1pt for 1-1. Top teams in each group advance to a single-elimination bracket stage, which is bo5 at all rounds. If you think each region can handle having 16 teams in a group stage, fine. But I think 12, the way OGN was last year, is more reasonable since there just aren't as many good teams and lack of sister teams among the biggest organizations (save for Cloud 9 and Tempest, I guess).
So, basically, (say, for NA), we'll see C9 or TSM stomping twice instead of once and watch two games of Dyrus playing Shyvana instead of one. Honestly, I don't really see what fun that brings in, really.

Do you watch OGN at all? It's basically set up for adjustments. The banning phase for a random LCS match basically consists banning OPs and RARELY a targeted ban because a team saw or heard things in a scrim. Super Weeks aside, a team goes into a given LCS week having to plan against 2-3 teams with no concrete plan on how to play against a specific team, because the next day, or even later that day they have to play against a completely different team. You'll see coaches say that they focus on the basics because focusing on one team each week isn't optimal at all...well the basics aren't going to get Western teams anywhere. Constantly you see Gambit and Fnatic floundering and middling in this LCS format against other EU trash, yet Gambit has at least gotten to the semifinals of EVERY TOURNAMENT they've EVER played in, saved for Season 3 Worlds. Think about that, and then look at what their record has been in each split of the LCS so far. They look brilliant and then they look like shit. But in any major tournament they're almost always clutch. Fnatic is the same way, but to a lesser extent. Remember how hard people were fapping over ROCCAT the first 5 weeks or so? Now look at them. It's the opposite circumstance with how much Alliance was trashed, now look at them.

The way LCS unfolds as the season goes on is just BLATANT proof to me that this isn't the optimal way to play League of Legends. It isn't the optimal way to play ANY eSport, much less a team-based one. Riot wants to do things their own way, whatever. But if the teams and players are constantly looking to Korea and East on how to properly do things, you can't necessarily throw away the format as if it's inconsquential. Teams have breaks between games, readjust, refocus, and learn from their mistakes if they're able to answer a loss with a defeat. This is how LoL is meant to be played to me, it's almost always way more entertaining as well. I can't see how anyone could argue against this, unless they wish to advocate the logistical reason for why LCS is the way it is. But if the teams want to get better, this needs to change IMO.

    Re: League of Legends

Ok, so, apparently, I'm getting lag in every server that isn't LAS. There's something weird going on. I've tried on different PCs and connections, but always the same thing. In NA > 300 (used to have 150 aprox), in EUW > 400 (used to have 200 aprox).

I like to think that Riot did something and made their servers... ¨smaller¨, in order to improve local connection or something like that.

Have you tried LAN? The dirty little secret is that the host center for that server is in Miami supposedly. I haven't tried it but you can get better ping there. But it has like no modes or anything and has no English support, obviously.

SKT T1 K might be out of OGN before playoffs, wow =o

2-0 by KT Arrows. Wtf. Didn't watch the games but almost can't believe it. Looking at the stats, including how long it took to finish the games, it looks like they got stomped. ManDu was even playing support.

No, I don't. But I don't think I have to watch it to understand what the format is about. So, Gambit is dropping games to EU trash, yeah. Why? Cause it's called regular season. It's like that in professional sports. No one cares about what's happening in a regular season format. It's just to determine who are qualified to get into play-off zone. And no, I don't think Gambit needs special practice to beat EU trash week in and out. They just don't bring in the same focus into all of their games.

I believe what we refer to as "fun" is entirely different. What I see as fun may not be optimal, but it's fun for me. Honestly, that's all I care about. Making it into a series of games will only give you less chances of an upset happening and that contradicts my way of "fun" games. What you are saying might raise the overall quality of the games, but again, that has nothing to do with fun. Again, pointless to argue about this, I guess. The only reason I ever responded was because you used the word fun, which is entirely subjective.

If you watch the VODs, bengi played terribly in those games. Not having any impact at all. BUT HAHAHAHA NOW FINALLY I CAN BE HAPPY WITH OGN AGAIN so yeah, that's a good thing if SK Telecom lost.

    This.

I like EG, and I dunno how DIG are going to perform without Scarra. TSM and C9 are no brainers... and anyone is better than Vulcun so I guess I'll go with CST.
