Chaika is adorable! That speech pattern is cute after all.
That Iron-Blood transformation is quite cool and so is Chaikas magical weapon. Too bad that we got no explanations yet. I wanted to know how magic works in this world.
The siblings are a nice duo. I smell a little brother complex though.
So Chaika was supposed to be dead? Explains the coffin huh?
OP and ED are good.
Hmmm. I don't know how I feel about this quite yet. It might be because it's late and I'm tired, but I wasn't really all that excited watching the first episode. I dunno, the premise sounds interesting and the fight against the unicorn (aren't they supposed to be beautiful and majestic? XD) was exciting. And then them having to haul the whole coffin to infiltrate the mansion was funny. But overall, I didn't find the characters all that exciting. Chaika is cute, but that's moe for you. The brother and sister duo on the other hand were kind of bland to me.
Of the series I've seen so far, this is probably running a bit low on my list based on the premier, but I'll give it a couple more episodes before I make a decision to continue with this.
This trio of characters it's what is making me watch this show.
I mean Akari is clearly a brocon, Chaika's cute and her speech pattern is funny and Toru it's your typical MC.
The first episode was indeed slow-paced, but I guess that's given to the fact that we were just introduced to the story.
To conclude, I'm looking forward to watching the next episode and that unicorn was really creepy. O_O
Brocon? Really? I found their relationship normal for once.
The episode wasn't bad but I was slightly bored. I am confused by their magic but I like the trio.
So Chaika is the daughter of the evil emperor... That explains why her magic is kinda strong huh?
I can understand Torus choice though. I would fight for her too even if it means war.
Chaika just wants those parts to bury her father... Such a good girl.
The group should be careful though... Another person is already tracking them...
I kinda saw it coming that Chaika was the daughter of that emperor, however I didn't expect her to say that she's gathering all the parts of his dad's corpse just to give it a proper funeral.
I'm pretty positive that this will lead to a major development in the story, but I doubt that it will be a positive one.
In any case it was an entertaining episode and I think that this is the first time that I've heard a MC saying that he prefers war rather than peace.
I'll be looking forward to seeing how this trio's journey will end.
This episode worked for me. I like the direction the story is going, and a protagonist who is completely okay with causing another war and helping Chaika revive a 500 year old, seemingly corrupt/tyrant wizard (who happens to be her father) is interesting. I'm sure there's more to this story, though, but we'll wait and see. I've pretty much gotten over Chaika's pattern of speech at this point.
Either way, this was a much better follow up episode in my opinion, and I'm looking forward to the third.
I also liked the second episode better. I was thinking maybe I would drop this, but it lives for another week for now. Chaika being emperor's daughter is a nice touch to the story. Now, the failed murder attempt and her weird speech pattern should also somehow be explained in the future, I guess. Heading in a positive direction.
I was thinking that Chaika's speech pattern helps you learn Japanese easily. LOL
Like Haku, I'm curious how her speech pattern developed. Like, if she was locked in a tower or something during her father's reign. >.> Best conversation of episode 2 was this, though:
Chaika: Yeah. Chaika.
Akari: *nod* Chaika.
That was a very fun conversation
I think it might have something to do with the murder attempt. Or maybe she actually got killed, and then got resurrected, since that Count was so sure about it.
Either way, I suspect it's a case of her brain not retaining its computational capabilities to the fullest.
Way better than than the 1st ep. So she just wants to bury her father and the others are against it, for understandable reasons. Hoping for more entertaining fights and the explanation of Chaika' magic.
I like the chemistry between our little group. The deadpan sister a loli with a cute voice and the former useless brother who is responsible for tsukkomi.
That Guy-...well... guy... is suspicious... What is his motive? Why does he want to help Chaika?
Same goes for the group who follows them... Something is missing here.
Anyway next time they have to fight the next hero... With or without a dragoon is the question.
