That face at the end, I could imagine how it must be terrifying for Tadokoro cooking under his gaze
Not much happened in this chapter but what happened was pretty detailed actually
Hopefully their matchup is over next week, and we get the result plus who's facing off in the next pair.
I assume for all the other pairs we will get just a brief recap about their battles.
Not sure what is going on but since this is the source, I have a speculation of this,
- Sucks to say that Kurokiba has also suffered an inferiority complex. Hope there is a reason behind his odd behavior in further chapter. Wait, have I heard that before? Because, Shinomiya did say everyone is the enemy in the kitchen to prove the survival of the chef. Plus he also treated his kitchen crew terrible, despite his own profession. If Kurokiba said about that, isn't that much similar to Shinomiya's former view about "every men for themselves?"
- With Megumi would obviously object Kurokiba's philosophy, which she might claimed that not every "strong" men would ever achieve greatness. How would she backed up her words? And without Soma guidance this time, what would she gonna do to prove Kurokiba wrong?

Kurokiba Ryou is one great looking character in the opening illustration, wish it had been in colour. I just hate how the writing is giving him all the dialogue to kind of suggest that he may lose. I dont think anyone embodying such traits have ever beat out people in the traditional friendship teamwork arena.
Chapter is out!
I'm going to make a poll like I did with the last match. Please, vote!
- Kurokiba has been the captain in his restaurant in the ship since young, handle the kitchen crew on his own. But his theory of the survival in the fittest might be his very downfall. Whilst Alice is focus on solely food's elegence and art, surely Kurokiba's focuses entirely on overrated domination . We need to know more how and why he treated his peers like his ever shifting rivals, even some of them did support his food. Was the owner teach him that way or his own rigor is his source is anyone guess (unless of course more details will be given before he take over the business in the later chapters). Should the Tohoku Bunny ever failed to convince that friendship, it would be the Yukihira Genius's attempt to convinced that
- Like Alice and all the previllaged talents and geniuses in the Tootsuki, depend who you meet, Kurokiba has a biggest flaw which is both common arrogance (Gosh, I think the manga's theme focuses not just cooking, but also humans arrogance and humility). Sure, he got the skills of cookery and, but what he lack is surely the charisma which is very important to all, especially when he is the boss. Megumi is indeed flawed with meek and dependent on someone, but you have to remember that . What is well known to Kurokiba case is like he is not going to acknowledge nor anybody works surpass his own anytime soon. The terminology of kitchen wars is obviously using for, and only, to suppress and his mockery about Megumi and friends is surely going to hide his jealousy, . Since he has more cooking wins than Alice, can he able to fight someone else that isn't in his league?
