Well, a magazine can't rely on Stealth Symphony and Illegal Rare alone you know.

Re: Weekly Shonen Jump [2014] - Discussion and TOC Talk - Part 6

    Author's comments

    World Trigger - Daisuke Ashihara
What did you think of the popularity poll results? I plan to comment on them more in volume 8.

Hunter x Hunter - Yoshihiro Togashi
I keep running into the same person when I drop off my kids. it feels like we're old friends.

    Naruto - Masashi Kishimoto
I went to karaoke. I tried to sing the main theme from a certain movie we've all been talking about, but unfortunately...lt's really hard!

Seraph of the End - Yamato Yamamoto
Drawing the pages each month is rough. but I get so much courage from all the wonderful fan mail I receive. I'm so grateful!

    Bleach - Tite Kubo
I kept saying I'd never do it, but I spent money on an FTP game... Oh, the sense of defeat.

    Toriko - Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro
I'm so grateful for everyone's help in coming up with original ingredients for a sixth anniversary special project and the fan book!

    Nisekoi - Naoshi Komi
I was invited out to dinner by Shiibashi Sensei, Fujimaki Sensei and Shinkai Sensei. The meat was delicious!

    Stealth Symphony - Yoichi Amano
I'm obsessed with sketching the Stealth Symphony characters in nineties anime style. The nostalgia!

    Also
Nisekoi/Ore monogatari crossover is being published next week in ESJ.

I'm really tempted to make a king of second bananas joke, but I honestly can't figure out what series that would apply the most to.

I wonder which release this is. Since they say it's got color pages and new covers, it's probably either the magazine-sized ones that have all the mag color pages or Jojonium. Regardless of which one, I wonder if they'll rerelease Stardust Crusaders in the new format since they just ordered a reprint of that whole thing.

Hi-Chew has announced that their last Haikyuu tie-in (from May) was so popular that they are going to add a new flavor. Soda flavored Haikyuu Hi-Chew will go on sale in August, sold exclusively at 7-11.

Lemon flavored Haikyuu Hi-Chew, from May:

The collaboration is a deliberate pun, Haikyuu ((ハイキュー!!) and Hi-Chew (ハイチュウ) differ only by two characters.

Probably neither. VIZ has never released exact reproductions of Japanese kanzenban. Rurouni, Vagabond, Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Inuyasha, Death Note and more all came out in special A5 editions with restored color pages and new covers. None reproduced covers from corresponding Japanese editions, or included Japanese extras.

I can see VizBig being the format of choice for JoJo. It's more feasible than single volumes, and can sell at a premium higher than 3-in-1 editions. After all, JoJo, for all its recent successes, is still niche. So selling it as a high-end product could maximise its potential.
