The kiss was fine in both the anime and manga.
Clare, as a human...was what, barely Raki's age when she began the process of becoming a claymore?
She's physically more mature than Raki and has tons more combat experience, but in terms of romantic, companionship, and human maturation they're identical. It's not quite shotacon when you think of it that way.
I'm new to the series so I'm sure my questions are naive but:
Why didn't they just eat Raki? Aren't Awakened Beings supposed to have voracious appetites? Has any other human survived so long living alone with a yoma?
This works in Isleys favor since Raki's presence was keeping Priscilla calm (and no risk of her suddenly getting angry due to Priscilla is unstable)
and i guess Clare on a technicality, survived living with the yoma who was her brother but she was abused constantly (both physically and sexually) since it was using her to mingle in with the crowd (look less suspicious if X person enters town with a kid and people start disappearing than a person on their own)
I guess now, after the time skip he is more interesting... He might become a likeble caracter imo so... not sure
Anyways I figure Raki will jump in between Claire and Priss at some point before he'll start crying again. He's grown into the badass normal of the series.
Well, I was introduced to Claymore through the anime, which really got me hating Raki for his whiny, emo attitude. And voice. Especially. The whole Clare-Raki love relationship, with him looking like some 12 year old kid, didn't really work either, IMO.
I'm more neutral after the timeskip as well - less hate, but I personally don't expect him to be particularly likable either... Guess it boils down to how he behaves when Clare confronts Priscilla.
I used to hate Raki the most in claymore (even more that Ophelia) but after the time skip and seeing him speaking to Rena has changed my mind on him completely and now can actually be a bit comical, maybe like a more dignified Helen.
I don't think he'll be comical, but I do see him in a new light now
His kindness and self-sacrifice reminds me of Zero from Kurohime, I just hope they wouldn't end the same way...
I never hated him, I guess I was indifferent. With all the cool claymores around, the little boy who tagged along was cute.
But now he is growing on me. I think his power up was very interesting.
Well, right now, he's 100% human.
I would love to see him developing into a male Claymore. Maybe not to fight the Abbysmal Ones but maybe for fighting the dragons, far in the future.
I think it will be more interesting if he stays a human, because becoming as a claymore he is due to awaken in the future.
Besides I want to see a human with power to match claymore, not only yoma and hybrids...
