i think the teams will merge, the gantzers all probably think they are going back to seperate rooms, bt think about it. one room that covers more space means more places the next hunt could be.

it would seem if that theory is true htt gantz is expanding the range of the team so that he can justify bringing in bigger monsters.

But if he brought in bigger/more powerful monsters then Gantz would never have the ability to let those fighters leave. If he let in noobs all the time vs. those powerful opponents they would stand no chance.

Good point. if that were the case i wonder how he would explain to his vamp allies that he is now a hunter.

Doesn't have to. He can just kill any vampires he sees during missions. (He won't even have to kill vampires if he chooses not to wear the suit again.)

No need to merge. It's clear that the Tokyo Gantz can at least send the team all over Japan. Also, since Nishi and Izumi knew about Gantz team in other countries, it's possible that they had done another team cross-over mission thing at some point, meaning Gantz should be able to send it's team anywhere. If it can do that, then there is no need for a merge. If Nishi has actually worked with other countries before, then it's probable that the teams won't be merged.

Well since it looks like HS has had enough time to dodge Nuri's lasers and take another swing at it, he's probably not going to be crushed by the H-gun.

HS can't die! If he dies, all we'll have to keep the team safe is Inaba!

whoa that's awesome, HS definitely pulls a matrix move in this chapter. And also, nuri's focus goes to HS, which allows Katou to pull off this stupid suprise element with the H gun.

ANYWAY, I JUST READ IT. Very good chapter. THIS IS WHAT REALLY HAPPENS (to the best of my short term memory):

HS and Nuri are fighting.

Katou HASN'T pulled the trigger yet but is locked on.

Cherry and Reika also have Nuri in their sights.

All three are wondering whether HS is friend or foe but seem to lean toward foe.

Katou seems to want to kill both. Thinking of Ayumu and Kuruno he THEN fires the H gun.

HS escapes the blast just in time, but he doesn't appear again in the chapter. He flies off somewhere immediately after the shot goes off.

Meanwhile, Katou's shot destroys Nuri just as Nuri's eyes catch a glimpse of and appparently were about to kill Reika (Nuri says, "I see" one last time) from what I could understand. It was possible that Katou was the target, but I think Reika was about to die.

Nuri is gone. The transfer begins.

Kuwabara is shown with the two girls. He begs for death. They agree they should just throw him away. They here a big explosion. They can't believe somebody is still alive and even more can't believe the Tokyo team could have done it. All three of them are transferred.

Takeshi is transferred.

Old man, Nishi, and Inaba are all transferred

Nerdo runs to Katou, says something like "I want to be like you. I want to do what you did. I'm going to revive Anzu, blah blah blah.

Katou says thanks, and that's it.

BTW, the pic where it looks like Katou is dying is just him trying to pull the trigger.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I live here so it really isn't a problem for me. I'll try to do it for every release if possible.

Because I'm obsessed, I went back to the convenience store and read it again.

I noticed a couple minor things I didn't get right the first time.

1. Katou doesn't shoot before HS dodges; he shoots after. The sequence is that HS sees Katou aiming, HS flies off (literally seems to fly), Nuri eyes notice Reika (while looking for HS probably), and Katou remembers his brother and Kurono right before hitting Nuri with the finishing blow (it actually reminded of the last scene in the movie Jaws for some reason, but anyway)

2. I now am reverting back to my original translation for Kuwabara... he's asking for sex -- not to be killed... Kuwabara is awesome.

It's incredibly fake....

We saw the upper body in the hand of Nura. Unless Oka had a clone of him at his disposal....which makes no sense.

GAT or anyone, do you think the editor pressured him to finish this one??

I don't know about i being fake, it could be that Oka had some sort of fail safe in the case of his death.

Oka's half body in tranfered?! How can he be still alive? I hope he bought a sort of "future revival" for himself for 100 points, he can't survive with only his head and his shoulder!
By the way, the thing that has shocked me most is that, according to the spoiler script, Higawa is dead, smashed by the H-Gun! I can't believe that he is dead, he is to cool to die! He was just fighting Nurari, how could Kato shot him?! If he's really dead, I'll hope that Kato dies in every chapter, till he'll really die.
