    Re: Zoro Ch.512

Well, it seems that it's one of your first or probably your first coloring so what I can tell you is that it's actually not that bad for a first time, you already got the hold on both soft/cell shading but you gotta take one, I'd take soft if I was you, looking at your coloring it's the best thing.
What you should do next is mark the lightsource in your head, think about it thoroughly, from where does the light comes from and where should the shadows be, you can even help yourself from real life, that's what I do when I don't know how to shade like a shirt, I take one of mine my camera's flash and direct the lightsource how I want it to be.
Then fill the base colors at first, you should use several layers that's the easiest thing if you ever wanna change something at the end or feel like you did an error somewhere and don't know to start all over.
And finally get on the shadows, you choose how many shadings you wanna do, you can use up to how many colors you want for anything, you could even use 10 colors for the skin if you feel like you can handle it and it looks good.
Be also careful on the line, don't let white pixels all over the place like you did, it feels like you've selected the areas with the wand, which I'm pretty sure you did actually, use the pen tool or even the brush directly with a zoom it's more precise.
Last thing I could say is good luck lol, I'm looking forward to more of your colorings cause I'm pretty sure you have potential.

    Re: Zoro Ch.512

    Again.. Some tips..
Pay attention to the smallest details! For example.. Look at the right ear (left side).. See the little white which's left there? Don't feel the urge to post your colorings until you're fully satisfied with them and sure it's complete.. There's no rush with colorings.
Moreover.. Again in the same ear, you can see you slipped a bit with the shading from the line.. So again, pay attention to small details.
As Ryu said, you should focus on one style of coloring and choose a lightsource direction. It will make your colorings more realistic and better.
Lastly, The eyes are frankly pretty horrible.. Don't color them like that next time.. They Are supposed to be white-ish.. And don't leave areas completly white.. It contrasts too much with the colorings..
Keep up with the hard work.
