Interesting note, Wakagi just gave an interview to Papyrus magazine and mentioned Takahashi as his inspiration not only for The World God Only Knows but as the reason he wanted to become a mangaka in the first place. Pretty cool!

Yaoyoro chapter 1 is out now for all you sunday fans!

gotta say the gags are strong, solid stuff. My bias against sunday has long been wrong i guess. but then basing it on my personal (and irrational) dislike of inuyasha was never a good reason in the first place.

Ironically you'd probably like Sunday more then Jump.

Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shounen Mag by Shogakukan)

I've started reading some Sunday mangas and I'm quite surprised. I've always liked Adachi, so that was a postive thing to start with, but then Major also took my by surprise. Only read the first thirteen chapters as of yet and it's a damn shame that the following scanlations begin, what? 300 chapters later? I'm seriously considering finding some people to scanlate this with, because it seems really interesting.

How many more of these series have been ignored for no practical reason?

Out of the current series The World God Only Knows, Mixim 11, Arata Kangatari, Hajimete no Aku, Conan, Cross Game, and (I think) Kenichi are fully translated. The first three began last year and Aku this year. Kekkasihi is getting very close, within 20 chapters. IMO Kekkaishi is as good an action series as One Piece and Full Metal Alchemist. Hayate is being translated and getting closer to being caught up. Maoh - Juvenile Remix, Ocha Nigosu, and Kettai Karen Children are currently being translated but are very far behind. Anything else isn't being translated at all.

Noodles: As I said above, Kekkaishi is one of the best series in any magazine. If you want great action read it. For gag/comedy read Hayate. Hata has a great sense of humor and rights a good story. Ocha is also good, but only six chapters are translated.

And as the only translator for the two of them...I'd reccomend Traumeister and Hyde and Closer. Trau scans are impossible to find though.....but Hyde and closer has been scantlated up to chapter 31. It's a pretty good series, and one more reason why Sunday needs more attention.

I'm glad to see my work on Aku's been noticed though.

Wow that is pretty cool! I like Wakaki's art, and once I get past the Romance aspect of The World God Only Knows, it's a pretty comedic series. Thanks for the news TwinAcres.

That's Shounen Sunday Super isn't it? It say renewal, too, but it's still a different mag, right?

After reading Wiki a bit and confirming some things...I can say proudly...FUKUCHI'S BACK BABY!! Though...he's serializing Takkoku....Now I knew a new Ueki is sort of impossible...still I was hoping to see something more along the adventure route from him. Oh well....Seems s tarting from March 25th Shounen Sunday Super will be monthly again (It's bi-monthly now) and will serialize normal series. (I think it was a home for One shots kind of like Akamaru is for Jump.)

Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shounen Mag by Shogakukan)

Will Club Sunday be weekly? Would it be possible to upload raws and such seeing as though it's all online? I would hope it gets some attention. I saw some pretty interesting stuff on the website.

Good to hear!! The art for the new series looks really cool, I look forward to it.

Shonen Sunday Super goes monthly o_O What odd timing. With Monthly Sunday getting a high profile launch it seems a little odd. But Shogakukan is run by smarter people then I, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
