Not necessarily true! Most of the winners are from Shougakukan, but there have been times where manga from other publications won the award as well: Yu Yu Hakusho, Slam Dunk, Bleach and Sket Dance are among the titles I recognize from the shounen category.

Wow. So it's shorter than MAR was? And weirdly enough no anime announcement. Thought Anzai would hit three for three...

Not too surprised, the last few chapters have been insanely rushed and it looked like Anzai was trying to wrap everything up as fast as humanly possible.

Unfortunately as a result, the final battle's turned in to a complete and utter mess. It's a shame since Mixim was actually getting pretty good prior to it's final arc.

Maybe Mixim will get an anime after it ends. It;s not as long as his other workd, do it;s not as much of a commitment as far as an anime adaption goes...

Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shounen Mag by Shogakukan)

My internet has been very limited so I haven't gotten to lead the latest Mixim chapters. So the news of it ending was definitely a surprise. Although I feel its probably the weakest one of his 3 series.

As far as the ToC, I'm not surprised. A handful of series I like are at the upper ranks, double that amount is at the bottom this week. In this case I don't mind Mixim being the one to take the hit really.

So, that one shot going to be Kakizaki's debut work on shonen category. I wonder how he'll do it.

A manga about gladiator in shounen-style by a seinen mangaka names Kakizaki Masasumi ? Sounds interessting. I hope it will be a rival for ther manhwa "Ares"

Edit: I think, that he will make his Version of the legend of Spartacus in Shounen-Style xD

Kakizaki's doing one-shots in sunday? I will be looking forward to that. Rainbow is one of my favorite seinen. His art is suited for dark stories.

I'm kind of skeptical on this ToC, but I'll upload it just in case.

Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shounen Mag by Shogakukan)

Hm, interesting. I've never seen a case where two series end in the same issue, but I guess it isn't impossible. Although, isn't that series a part of Dennou yuki club? I read on wiki it has the same author anyway.

Aku higher than Magi? That's...intriguing, and also feeds the hope that Aku will get an anime sooner or later.

Though I have a question. It's not really WSS related, but it IS Shogakukan related. Does Takkoku run in Sunday super any more? I've noticed that Club sunday gets updates of the series three times a month, which seems kind of odd for a monthly series. If it isn't running in Sunday super any more, then it explains why the series seems to be running to a conclusion, which makes this translator sad.

In any case, I hope not.

    Aww maaan.....This sucks. Seriously.

Then again, I guess it has been two years.

I hope they're gonna do an anime once it's over like they did Ueki....and that Fukuchi will return soon.
