FMA Volume 16 Discussion (Chapters 62-65)

The tale of the Ishbal War is now over. We finally got some comedy in this chapters (the latest ones were very sad and morbid). Discuss away!

Okey, it's been one awesome flashback.. I have the feeling that Al&Ed will follow Scar and co. to the north, because there was a picture in this chapter with Ed in what looked like a winter jacket. I think we'll see some interesting developement.

Of course! When you put Alphonse and Edward together, comedy always ensues!

Pretty good chapter. I'm glad that the story of Ishbal is out of the way now. Now the Elrics will have to worry mainly about what to do next, and I guess that's finding Ran Fan - which will most likely lead them to Scar eventually again.

Of course, the Homunculi's "Father" will most likely be looking for Marcoh as well - I don't think he was fooled at all. Something tells me there's going to be a big clash coming up soon again...

I'm also wondering about that old man Roy got in touch with, Lieutenant General Grumman. What's his importance to Roy's plan? Hmm.

I liked this chapter for a couple reasons. The first is that we got some much-needed comedy. FMA has great comedy. The second reason is that this chapter supplied us with what I think is one of the coolest images to date.

When I saw this pic my jaw dropped.

Oh, and do you guys want a chapter 63 prediction thread as well?

You all know the drill. Predict what you think is going to happen in the next chapter of FMA. For me, predicting FMA is always more difficult, since the chapters don't always end in cliffhangers, like so many every-week manga. But I'm sure some of you are more than capable.

The Homoculi aren't that stupid to not realized Marcos fake death (that was a little bit to easy -.-) and that bloody face wasn't necessary ... gnaaah, Scar is always so energetic xD

The little "bean girl" (hihihi^^) has fallen in love with Al ... so cute

oh yea, I found it rather humorous that Al went off on that whole rant about how different he looks from his brother when he doesn't even have a body and the only person who has seen his body is Ed.

I'm always wrong with predictions, but i'll give it a try ... uhm ... I forgot so much since there were this long flasback x_X

Scars group will go to north. Ran Fan wants to be introduced to the automail mechanics. Maybe the brothers will seperate for this? I think the automail will be a link to Winry again, so it's also important. They will follow Scars group together. The Homunculi will also made their step and follow Marco. Wasn't Hohenheim on his way to the north as well?

yup, and he was horribly emaciated. BTW, I had the same reaction to this as Ed.

I have to agree about everyone heading north. What I'm curious about is how scar is gonna react when he meets the elric brothers again, and visa versa now that they know the full story. hmmm on second thought I think the next time they meet they won't have a chance to fight each other because the homunculi group will probably appear right about then ("Father" wasn't fooled by scar's lil trick) and cause them to team up to fight em. Who knows though, but somehow they gotta start workin together in order to progress at least for ed and al.

i believe that know that Scar knows the whole story about the war he might have realized who his true enemy is the long waitted alliance between the elric brothers and Scar maybe has finaly come

I was thinking that too, but I don't see Ed forgiving him for killing Winry's parents that easily. Well, one way or another ed and al are going to have to learn about the alchemy from shin, so they are going to end up examing scar's brother's notes somehow. I'm actually more curious about Ling. Are we going to wait half a year (when ran fan claims she will be done with her automail) to see some Ling action? Don't get me wrong, Greed is cool and all, but I miss Ling. Meh, it's weird predicting a monthly manga

That's what I expected him to say (well, actually I expected him to say sleeping, but that was my second guess). Two of my favorite things on earth would be sleeping and eating, and Al can't do either, poor fella.
