I hope we'll see the return of Old man Zengetsu in the Ichigo/Ulquiorra round two match. Perhaps he'll talk about some hidden attributes to the Zanpaktou that he hasn't tapped into yet. (that SS captains that have graduated and left for the Royal gaurd have). If not, then maybe a revelation about how to better use the skills he has at hand.

I think the chain is just a piece of decoration to the sword, nothing much.

Yeah, I don't think it actually does anything or is useful. It's just a piece that (intentionally or unintentionally) reminds me of the soul chain. Maybe it's symbolism, who knows. I definitely agree that it's decorative and not functional though.

Guys don't dream about a twin sword or whatever... we had no clue about that until now. I think the next powerup isn't anything new: we have seen it during the Dark Side of the Universe arc. Ichigo's full hollow form, aka resuscitation in Arrancars' terms. I think Ichigo will release his full hollow form (with his coscience in control this time). If that's the case he has already won because he can't be killed due to his super fast regeneration ability.

As far as the twin swords go thats a far fetched dream, however I hope your wrong about his hollow side getting the focus. His bankai is so limited and underdeveloped its not even funny. Now this is pure speculation still but his father is a zero squad captain and I doubt hollow transformation got him there so his bankai potential is FAR FAR FAR from met.


Could you imagine how AWSOME it would be if kubo decided to throw us for a complete loop and ichigo gets completely destroyed only to be saved by his father and his dad completely and utterly annihilates ulq? To me that would be the most amazing plot twist and would imo be the perfect time for ichigo to get some training time like ishida with his father since they are currently stuck in hollowland.

I think Ichigo's bankai is intended to be an intermediate state between shikai and his full released hollow form. If it's like that then Ichigo's bankai is just an incomplete release and because of this Ichigo's bankai appears to be weak and its incompleteness may even cripple its power to a certain extent. It's like having a quad core cpu with a graphic card of ten years ago...
To release the full power all the components must be balanced so in Ichigo's case I think his full bankai ability will manifest itself only when his hollow powers are developed (=subdued) totally. When this happens Ulquiorra will be utterly destroyed because Ulquiorra said himself that Ichigo's peak reiatsu is higher than his own.

It's unlikely because there is no time for Ichigo for going through another training while Aizen is trying to destroy Karakura Town. Not to mention Aizen is way too sure of himself in the current battle against Gotei 13: I fear either the Vaizards are on his side or the top three Espada are going to be dreadnaughts who will own gotei 13 totally. Shunsui is very worried about his fight against Stark and this is really unusual: I think this is the second hint of what is going to happen to the captains... if they're killed in three-four chapters showing how helpless they are against the top three Espada I'll worship Kubo Tite forever!!!
Anyway this to say that Isshin will have to help Gotei 13 in fake KT for sure.

Well this is what I hope is going to happen.....

Hitsuyuga can actually hold his own against Halibel, I think that would finally shut people up about him being the weakest captain, I'm not a fanboy (well just a bit) but I do want him to hopefully get some real credibility to his name for once

Though I love Shinsui and Ukitake I hope they're dispatched (not quickly) but eventually, after seeing both their bankai's.....Because I like Stark and if he beats those two hopefully we'll get lots of back story on Stark.....

I hope barragan beats yami into the ground, I want to see that old smug face of his wiped from that irritating face, but then barragan is One shotted by a Vizard (because I hate the other old guy too AHAHHA)

Well looks like you were wrong unfortunately Ono....it really does seem like Kubo is going to show us these fights before Ichigo vs Ulq, which (like Ono) I seriously didn't think would happen....I think this means Ulq is holding something back and he actually is number 1 OR we'll see the Top 3 dispatch the Gotei 13 THEN go back to Ichigo THEN go back to Espada vs Vizard BUT WHO KNOWS!

Damn a hell of a lot discussions have started and i wasnt here, sucks, whatever let me just answer to Onomatopoeia we had something hanging since saturday XD

I'll just reply to the part since it's the part thats replying to me.

Read the DB Manga before giving an opinion. Seriously the Anime and the Manga do not compare. I wish all people would do that before even considering speaking badly of DB.

Halibel more or less doesn't care, she barely ever talks in the first place so shutting her up isn't impressive to begin with. I don't think she even follows a lot of discussions. She's more of a thinking quite type.

Yama is the leader of SS... he's the strongest one their. And yes I didn't understand your example, I thought you meant that people who didn't fight are the strongest.

Ok i will read DB manga, since if you say that is different it should be, i will give it a try, none can say im an idiot that doesnt let his mind open :P and kinda figured that you didnt catch it at first, oh one more thing, always have in mind that i dont get pissed while arguing, even if it looks like that, i just like a lot to discuss since is really great to prove a point that you defend, even if i get to a point that im insulting or so, that doesnt mean im pissed or something.

I think people are looking TOO much into who they "want" number 1 espada to be and not enough at the history and trends of bleach matchups. Sometimes the biggest deception is when things ARE exactly as they appear to be, we are so used to often times over analyzing things that we dont see the obvious in plain sight. As perfectly matched up as espada vs captains have been so far mad scientist mayuri vs mad scientist espada just an example. Same as kenpachi's matchup both violent and battle hungry. Can we say old man barragan vs old man numero uno captain?

I understand like I said why people WANT stark to be number one personally to be honest so do I but its just not adding up like I said with the way EVERY espada vs captain matchup has played out, I mean even now ONCE AGAIN we have lazy laid back stark vs who else but lazy laid back shunsui. I would however be pleasantly surprised if kubo decided to throw us for a loop and the matchups were maybe characteristically "perfect" but power wise maybe were a mismatch which would lead to some actual mid battle scrambling and sense of urgency? But imo thats a long shot.

EEEERRRRR you talk about this perfect matchup things, which, let me say it is really the true, but you have reach a point of blindness since they are not only or they are not just strong, but old and experienced, soooo, cant it be a battle of Experienced Vs Experienced or Old Man vs Old Man, and those two doesnt mean that they involve power(strongest vs strongest)

Well so far so good with my prediction about kubo not going back to ichigo's battle now that in itself means little to nothing but I hope im right about ichigos battle being such a significant boost in power that it makes more sense to see his development AFTER the captains get beat. To me thats the logical route but who knows only time will tell.

Then next time we see an Ichigo x Ulquirra scene, it'll probably start with Ichigo on the ground...struggling to get up until he finds out he has no moe energy in him to continue....(or at least lost the determination he had) Then you see Oriheme shaking and thinking to herself, "I can't let Ichigo die!" and then you see a fully powerful Oriheme standing in guard to protect Ichigo just as Ulqiurra was about to finish him.

her new found power is unknown to me.
But remember, we got to see something unbelievable as someone like NELL who transformed from a kid, to a powerful female arrancar....

So I have NO doubt in seeing the same for Inoue Oriheme!!!
