Interesting. I wonder how many episodes Diamond A will be. It's a pretty realistic story, he might not even be a starter by the time a one or two cour anime ends. Diamond A probably would benefit from being a four cour anime. Whether it will or not is anyone's guess, we probably won't know until after it starts airing.

Alright that sounds awesome! Manga is a treat to read so I hope whatever studio does it does it well.

An anime is not too surprising given that the series is the fourth series the most popular magazine after Hajime no Ippo, Fairy Tail and Ahiru no Sora.

And not entirely understandable for me. Why should two high priced studios work together? Thought this would only be done to reduce the production cost, like it is done by big hollywood movies.

Was there an anime-series, that was made by 2 big sudios ? I really don´t remember it.

Besides, I wonder, if this collab has for us an advantage. Perhaps Better animation ? Hundreds of episodes ? Or 45 minute episode format ?

I can't recall ever seeing something like this before. Japan has a different business culture than the EU and US. Shogakukan and Shueisha are competitors, but they still have a joint promotional company (ShoPro) and joint international licensing arm (VIZ). Maybe I.G and Madhouse will put out a press release explaining everything when they announce the staff, voice talent, production team, and air date.

Usually studios sublet background animation, stills, and other grunt work to smaller studios. It's not a collaboration. This I imagine is a collaboration. The results should be interesting, both are great studios.
