Re: Weekly Shounen Magazine TOC Talkback

Thanks, i kinda just took out all the little comments and didn't pay attention to that -.-.

So far i think only the 'known' mangaka new titles are getting picked up right as they begin, Fairy tale was picked up right away by Kefi, Code Breaker was picked up right away, same with Kimi no Iru Machi.

I really, really wish people who 'love' certain genera's would work together and help the 'industry' get caught up on series.

I mean the POT fantatics who are going threw withdrawls while waiting for the sequel could all work together and get SMASH! (okay its Badminton, but its close) caught up. Fans of Football(Soccer) manga like Tsubasa could help catch Area no Kishi up.

Personally i would rather see The Best Skilled Surgeon caught up before God hand Teru but thats just because it is a newer series and would be easier to catch up on, then do GHT lol.

I would just love to see the scanlation community work together and maybe we could see alot more series caught up and alot more fanbases created.

*crosses fingers* well hopefully this topic will help promote series and maybe we will see 20 different versions of Baby Step coming out *Just randomly picked a series that wasn't scanlated* lol.

Re: Weekly Shounen Magazine TOC Talkback

20 versions of "Baby Step" sadly would still mean 30 versions of "Naruto" out there

Personally I wish a lot more manga were treated but the sad thing is the more you do, the more that's still not being done elsewhere. These TOC I guess get stuff out there...

Re: Weekly Shounen Magazine TOC Talkback

Well because of the TOC i have really been looking into these series, i didn't know about most of these sports titles, I sadly have been more of a WSJ boy but since getting into manga i have known about Sunday/Mag and always been interested just never really known much about them.

((I knew Sunday had Conan/Inuyasha, and Mag had Tsubasa/Negima/Fairy tale and HNI lol)) but i didnt know alot about the 'other' series.

    I love that magazine!

The positions of popularity in this TOC follows the same rules of the Weekly Shonen Jump's TOC?

    Thanks for posting,

Anyone know anything about the new series or mangaka behind it that will be coming in #52? .

I wonder how fast it will be scanlated.

I know little to nothing compared to Jump...but unless someone really jumps on it, I don't know if it will be that speedy in scanslation considering it isn't one of the established mangaka.

Actually you can read chp. 1 right now: compared to Jump (who doesn't do it) or Sunday (who does it with vol. 1's release), Magazine always has their chp. 1s of all their manga up rather quickly. If you want to read it, just go to the main website, click on the page for the manga, then click on the far-left bar below the series' header. (major tip: it reads right to left...but you have to click the right arrow to move forward)

    Website: http://www.shonenmagazine.com
    Fausts: http://www.shonenmagazine.com/works/fausts/
(it does seem like the newest Mag series so it's probably just the initial hype)

with faust i just think it'd be good, cause theres an awesome band with the same name. im pretty sure faust is originally some old german character, but yeah, awesome band

edit; faust seems pretty interesting, if only i knew some more nihon-go vocab

Fausts art reminds me of Kindaichi.

Air Gear really seems to jump up and down the TOC, i read the one which featured 223 and Air Gear was up to 4th, through previously it was like 8th. I hope to see position stability in the top five soon.
*Have you taken a look at Onepunch-Man? You should consider it, it's a great manga!

Some of the series seem to jump up and down in the rankings quite a bit!

Well, if anyone is interested we released chapter 1 of Hanagata a feq days ago. If you want to read it then you can grab it from Deadbeat-Scans and irc from Chibisuke-Scans
Looking for Translators for various (all wonderful I promise) Seinen and Shounen projects PM me.

Hanagata is the sequel to "Star of the Giants", right? Nice to see it, may check it out.
