Whew, quick ending. Thought it was one of their more popular series. But I guess now they will be trying to redo Nanatsu no Taizai"s success.

I've heard rumors that Fairy Tail might be ending soon as well. Perhaps Shonen Magazine is trying to create a brand new lineup of battle shonen to help boost their popularity a lot.

Really? Where did you hear that? Though with the way things have been wrapping up this year It's not entirely unbelievable.

wouldn't ending fairy tail be bad for a strong battle shounen lineup? I'm mean its the kind of story that could go on for ages with its ridiculous power balance and all the possible dragons...

    Re: Weekly Shounen Magazine (Kodansha)

The lineup is not really strong battle manga. From their historical titles, most of them are sport manga. And now that Nanatsu is super successful, Fairy Tail can end with not to much worries.

Fairy Tail won't end soon. Mashima himself said not long ago that he was halfway into the story. Also with the latest 3 chapters starting a new story arc we could say that it will last at least 2 years, since it's story arcs lately has been long (the last one was almost 2 years).

Thats an assumption. Code;Breaker enters its final Arc which is barely 3 chapters long. The length of an arc is set by the author himself. He could do 5 ones within a year if he feels like it. Its just the case that story grow in scale and so do the arcs.

A few people on /a/ mentioned that Mashima said that he plans to only have a few more arcs. I originally just took it with a grain of salt, but with how much restructuring WSM is doing I'm taking it with a bit more than a grain of salt now.

No for Code:Breaker thy are no annonced about final arc. Just for final chapter. Ans same for Mashima, i check Mashima twitter, and he said nothing about end of Fairy Tail.

I think it is still too early to say whether Nanatsu is super successful or just successful. We have to wait until how much it'll increase after the anime has released.

Volume three sold 135,564 copies in it's first week of sales. It definitely already is successful. I don't know if that qualifies as "super" successful or just "really" successful. I'll leave that decision to the experts.

I was answered that no shonen magazine serie sell that much for volume 3 since orikon started. (And my bias toward a serie I really enjoy)

Actually if I remember correctly, weren't there reprints for volumes 1 and 2?
