I read a bout the absence in Ritual... Such a great part going on and we're expected to wait four weeks.

I think I shall fall in deep, deep coma for the next month.

(btw, yellowpin, shall we conquer this forum with Finns? Yes we shall.)

    Re: D.Gray-man: long absence?

In the spoiler thread for 129, it says there's a break until 41, is that just a mis-translation?

(NOT THE FINNS! ANYTHING BUT THE FINNS -gasp- ... Kidding. -gets shot anyway-)

See? We're growing. (And I'm naturally the leader cuz I'm the oldest.)

Kiitos Yellowpin 8P Halusin ehdottomasti jonkun suomalaisen nikin, ja Talvi kuulosti hyvältä.

    Sorry for major OT.

    Re: D.Gray-man: long absence?

For me this absence is for the better even though I am depressed that I wont be seeing any D.Gray Man for a month.

I have school coming up so I better work hard!

    Re: D.Gray-man: long absence?

Well, I'd rather see her take a break and feel better and refreshed, rather than push herself to exhaustion and pain!

*sends healing vibes toward Hoshino-san* It'll be hard on us fans, but I'm sure it's hard on her to churn out these chapters all the time! I hope she feels better soon.

So how many breaks has the author taken? I only just started reading the series, but I love it.

Two breaks, including the one that's ahead.

Oh, ok. I was just wondering because Reborn! started around the same time as D.Gray-Man, but it has 30 more chapters.

    Re: D.Gray-man: long absence?

The author has taken quite a few breaks lately, and there was a long break around chapter 70, I think it was, so naturally Reborn! is a bit farther. I don't think there have been any breaks in that series...

Now, both of my favorite mangaka are out on sick leave. Hoshino and Minekura. *more crying*

Get well soon, both of you!

    Re: D.Gray-man: long absence?

I don't feel bad or sad for a break. Imo hoshino lost it somewhere with the noah's arc arc. I think the fights and stories were all good, but imo the story was screwed up by the reviving of tiky. It made some events complete useless:

    - allen's new powers didn't mean anything, while he's supposed to have general's level -> [b]explanation: maybe allen's new innocence isn't not well evolved yet[b]
    - road thinking tiky was defeated, avenging on lavi but she was defeated (let's assume she just retreated)
    - Chaoji getting innocence out of nothing? What is happening with tiedoll, miranda, etc...

-> what was this arc for: well it was to stop the download of the new arc while noah hold them off. But meanwhile it seems that the huge ??? are lavi, krory and kanda while it seems that earl is going off with tiky and cross with his excorsists. I think the chapters were to focused on the noah vs excorsists, while there could have been interesting parts elsewhere: the current situation with tiedoll, etc...

Maybe it's better for a break, better clearing out the story on a not so complex, hasty way. Though I must admit that the last two chapters were good
The biggest virtue is to support these Seven Deadly Sins in their fight!!!
    Read Nanatsu no Taizai
