Naruto's "That Jutsu"

Naruto didn't know about FRS when Jiraya said not to use that jutsu. Naruto learned "that jutsu" during 3 years journey with Jiraya, but we know nothing about it. We can make guesses though.

i am pretty sure that 'that jutsu' is seen in naruto 505. because that seems to be the completed jutsu and it is kick ass.

Well, you don't seem to realise that not only was it a joke, but it was irrelevant to the point I made. FRS has nothing to do with it. It was merely a poke at how people often take those two words put together a bit too literally. A point you only illustrated further. Make sure you understand the post before making redundant corrections.

And if words matter so much even in jokes:

Seems that way. I don't see why there would be any more to it when they said that they key would help him master it, and this is what he mastered when he used the key. It also ties back to what Jiraya said to Naruto at the beginning of Part 2 about not using the Foox cloak since it nearly killed him in it's berserk form.

My best bet is that the term often refers to different jutsus.

When on Myobokuzan, Naruto decided to practice 'That Jutsu', and mastered Rasenshuriken on the next moment. But on other times, 'That Jutsu' clearly is about something else.

Maybe we're taking same words from different moments that mean different things, and this is what's causing the confusion.

And that was the point of the joke.

Like the time when Naruto was training at Myobokuzan, and one of the translations mentioned him completing "that jutsu". Instead of looking at the context, that Naruto's skin now significantly hardened and what that could mean for a jutsu (FRS penetrates the skin and attacks the cells), a lot more people seemed to focus on the mere word because it carries that "wow, mysterious" factor.

Context matters, and while it's possible that the jutsu Jiraya warned Naruto not to use at the beginning of Part 2, and the one he was talking to the frogs about later on in the series could be two different things, I'm strongly convinced that he was talking about the Fox cloak at the beginning of Part 2 because of the context.
That being Naruto's sad face when he heard it, and that we shortly after that found out that he nearly killed Jiraya with it. It makes sense.
What doesn't make sense is the implifications of those things being hidden from the readers for 5+ years. That would not be good writing imo.

And I also think that what Jiraya discussed with the frogs was about the demon cloak as well, because again, it makes sense in the context. It was said that the key would help Naruto master it. And now that he used the key, he mastered the demon cloak.

If we are talking about 'that jutsu' then we need to keep it in context of Jiraiya and not Tsunade or anyone else. In context of Jiraiya trying to help Naruto gain control of the fox, we can safely assume that 'that jutsu' isnt genjutsu and probably not ninjutsu either since Jiraiya didnt focus on those when training Naruto. Jiraiya was a master at sealing jutsu and he wanted Naruto to control the nine tails fox so I would think it is safe to conclude that 'that jutsu' is completing the seal which Naruto has just accomplished or something sealing related.

I honestly will be disappointed if it turns out to be the Tailed Beast Bomb. True, I haven't seen what it does, but if it's like we've seen when the Bijuus use it, it's just a chakra ball that destroys everything it finds in its path.
I was expecting something like...poor Tobi, not even his super speed/telportation can match this jutsu kind of thing, not an upgraded rasengan.

What do you guys think? Is this it, or are we still to see 'That Jutsu'?

i dont think it is the bomb think the sealing jutsus he used against the kyuubi was that jutsu. the bijuu bomb is something different imo.

it´s one of those jutsus we have seen Naruto perform but where he failed.
This could be:
a) The trowhing wind jutsu he tried in secred in the training arc on Mount....what was the name again?
b) Sunshine no jutsu
c) something entirely different

It was Fox's cloack, turning into Kyubii, it has been already explained when he told to tsunade about their treining and how badly he was hurt. Naruto didnt listen to him after all

The main issue with this is that naruto was completely unaware that the rasengan could be used that way. IMO though, there is not a "That jutsu" anymore. I think jiraiya was simply talking about the kyubi cloak for the most part.

surely not! but of course it is connected with the Fox,because in the manga 41 Jiraiya and the frog spoke about this,this jutsu needs a little break of the seal.

and i'd like to remember that when he was ah the myoboku he was trying the Rasenshuriken, in facts when he used it later against Pain Fukasaku and his wife didn't unbelievable and didn't know that it was.

It can't be the Kyuubi's cloak because he would of just stated it instead of saying "that jutsu" its got to be something new(well i hope).
