Claymore Scene 86- The Touch’s Sin.
Claire- The main character. Not appearing in this chapter.
Helen- The mischievous member of the ghosts. Her curiosity may have gotten her in too deep this time.
Deneve- Probably the best at regeneration out of any Claymore in the series. She’s going to need it…
Dietrich- The current Number 8 in the organization. She will not tell a lie, but has no problem with desertion.
We open with Dietrich finishing off the AB, and Helen and Deneve commenting on her skills. However they soon find out that Dietrich will not lie, and thus will report them to the Organization. Helen and Deneve are unwilling to kill her over that, and so they decide to just continue on. Deneve comments that it was good enough not run into any enemies while fighting the AB.
We get a bit more about Dietrich’s character here. Seems she’s honest to a fault. She won’t lie, and since Helen and Deneve aren’t going to kill her, they run the risk of the Organization finding out about them. Or not as the case may be…
Dietrich the Tour Guide-
Later Helen and Deneve are being followed by Dietrich. The two are faster, but can’t shake her. Dietrich catches up and makes an offer. She won’t have to lie to the organization if she’s been kidnapped. Dietrich makes an offer. Since Helen and Deneve have been in the North, they don’t know how things have changed. She’ll be there guide. And things have changed. It seems a demon (or in some translations Demons.) has wiped out about half the towns in the south. Helen wonders if that includes her and Deneve’s hometowns. They decide to continue on anyways.
Well it seems Dietrich won’t be gotten rid of too easily. She follows the two, and seems to not want to betray her rescuers, or the debt she owes. In some ways Dietrich is shaping up like Jean. We learn that things have gotten very bad in the South. But that won’t dissuade Helen and Deneve.
A Dangerous Trip Into Town-
Helen and Deneve decide to go into a town they sense a massive amount of Yoki from. So massive that it could only be Isley. Helen figures that they should be able to sneak a look at Isley without being detected. And Deneve wants to see the one responsible for so many comrades deaths. Dietrich has to stay behind because she can’t hide her Yoki. In town Helen and Deneve discuss how normal people can’t sense Yoki. Someone with a strong sixth sense however would be affected. Deneve also brings up something that bothers her. Why would Isley be referred to as a demon? And why would he be hiding as a human in the town? Claymores wouldn’t skirt around the term Abyssal one. But this is cut short when they run into Isley in the street. The pressure of his Yoki causes Helen to collapse. Isley offers to help, but Deneve tells him that it’ll be fine. Just as Deneve relaxes, she suddenly gets slashed from shoulder to hip. Helen turns to face Isley with hateful eyes. Isley calls them eyesores for sneaking around and promises to make them disappear. Meanwhile in the woods Dietrich hides behind a tree as a monstrous figure moves through the mist.
Well this is one hell of a cliffhanger. Helen and Deneve got reckless and may well die because of it. Deneve is in very bad shape with the massive wound Isley dealt. Anyone else I’d figure to be dead for sure, but Deneve does have the best regeneration. So we’ll have to wait until next month to know if she’s still alive or not. And the demon whatever it is closes in on the town. A lot of speculation is going on as to it’s true identity. Personally I’m hoping for a Dragon kin. It certainly has been a while since I was this anxious for the next chapter of Claymore to come out. I hope Helen and Deneve don’t get killed off, but this is indeed a series where characters can die. But damnit, Helen has the best facial expressions in the whole series!
Winner of the Month- Isley. I don’t like the fact he may kill Helen and Deneve, but he’s definitely doing the best of anyone this chapter.
Loser of the Month- Deneve. Poor Deneve.
So am I the only one doing a review this month?
If so then I command you to DISCUSS AND COMMENT!
Did it work?

Weird title isn't it? Was it translated correctly?
The Violated Taboo (侵された禁忌, Okasareta kinki) is the right translation, at least it's the one used over at Wikipedia and it sounds much better, the other translation is from the chinese script, which is a translation from japanese to chinese to english.
That does sound better. Course with Claymore the chinese scan always shows up before the Japanese Raw.
