... is a wish.
perhaps many narutofans wanted to see the Naruto-Anime in BluRay-Version with a resolution of 1920x720 (720p ) or 1920x1080 ( 1080p ).
But the question is, why they aren´t relased it ?
The Naruto Movie 3 was released in High Definiton with a resolution of 1920x1024 and that was great.
Why can´t they released the TV-Series or the Movie on BluRay ?
Would you like to see in BluRay-Version your favourite Anime "Naruto" ?

animation doesn't benefit from high def unless it's cgi...audio might be better, but it has to be good to begin with.
I think I'll survive.
And I'm not even talking of anime (Sleeping Beauty is gorgeous, and it's 50 years old).
I'd be just fine if they released the movies on Blu-ray. The series could wait until they get to the widescreen transition, but movies are fine by me.
what I'm saying, is that tv animation (not animated movies) are usually low res to begin with, so they won't get any better going from dvd to bluray... only reason to use bluray would be to fit more episodes...might help the movies out a bit, though.

Shippuuden broadcasts in 720p, right? So it would benefit from Blu-ray, cause it's already a high resolution anime, just like Gundam 00 and Code Geass. They both got Blu-ray releases in Japan, didn't they?
the quality that I've seen doesn't seem like it would be better if it was in HD...that's all I'm saying, you're wasting money just for empty high def. It would be like getting NES music in a lossless format. DVD quality is already good enough for anime, you've reached the point of diminishing returns. Sure the image might be a bit crisper, but it's not the same difference from, say, the dark knight on dvd to blu ray. your money is wasted.
also, just because something is being broadcast in 720p doesn't mean that it's high def...especially when it comes to cartoons...but I don't live in japan, so I can't speak from experience.

That would be great Naruto out on Blu-Ray! Hope it will arrive.
Naruto anime on BLue Ray .. if it will more resoultion ..and sound and EXTRA!!!
i am not sure about japan anime .. i hope it will blue ray provide in my home (USA) but BLu-ray cost money but i prefer to buy Stanard DVD Box Set uncut in my LCD TV 42 ...it is not bad
if BLue ray will release .. i will buy it !!
Well I disagree Anime in HD 1080p is wroth every penny, first and foremost in 1080p there isn't a grainy look and sound to the anime compared to the standard DVD version, which 1080p gives the viewers a better eye for detail. now for the sound surround sound it is big in the western civilization, on that note some will disagree, But action (live or anime) needs to surround sound not 2.0. the reason is when you watch Naruto you the viewer are a fly on wall which comes back to detail like a fly you need to know what is happening around your surroundings.
We, the german fans, are getting both series (not the movies), Naruto (First Part) and Naruto Shippudden (Secon Part), on Blu-ray next year:
Naruto Shippuden - Die komplette Staffel 1 [Blu-ray]
Naruto - Die komplette Staffel 1 [Blu-ray]
We are waiting now for the official announcment and for some information about the release itself (picture-quality, sound-quality etc. pp).
That's great. Hopefully for you guys it's not a simple upscale that looks just like the DVD, but it's an actual HD port that looks better than the TV version.
