Full Metal Alchemist The difference between Rentanjutsu (Xing) and Renkinjutsu (Amestris)

i was reading FMA again and was wondering about one thing. people were deciphering about why amestris alchemy is different from zing's country.
and i remember reading about the marco's transmutation circle and zing's transmutation circle.
but did they find out what was the difference and whats wrong with amestries alchemy??

if yes could you guys please post the links and chapter numbers?

Re: The difference between Rentanjutsu (Xing) and Renkinjutsu (Amestris)

I moved this from the chapter discussion into it's own thread because the topic is not related to the current chapter yet very interesting to discuss.

Ehm, now I can't really say something about it since it's been so long that I've read it. But didn't they discover that the alchemy in Amestris is incomplete while Xing's is the original one which is the reason why renkinjutsu can't harm Father unlike retanjutsu?

... or was that some fan theory that still runs in my head?

Re: The difference between Rentanjutsu (Xing) and Renkinjutsu (Amestris)

I think the diference is that ametris alchemy is directly related to father and his body and also why father is able to turn off alchemy in ametris. That would explain meis comment on ametris alchemy.

Rentanjutsu uses the "lifelines" of the earth, likely referring to magnetic currents, for their source of power.

Renkinjutsu uses the energy in the crust of the planet, likely referring to heat, for their source of power.

I think that was explained by Mei-chan at some point as to explain her way of performing long distance transmutations.
