Category Ratings: (1-10 scale)

Art: 6 The artwork is rather plan with cartoonish elements. The action scenes flow well and the background often holds humorous content.

Plot: 6 Some of the story elements have been lost in the adaptation - these were generally game elements that would not have worked in printed media. This has not changed the story in anyway.

Characters: 6/7 - characters are a tough one. 6 The manga is littered with well known and developed characters. Other aspects of their personalities have also been explored. 7 The original characters are well developed and true to their natures throughout the manga.

Theme: 7 The main theme in KH is friendship. There are also themes of love and sacrifice, believing in yourself and fighting for what you believe in. Never giving up and being accountable for your actions.

Originality: The basic story is not overly original - someone looking for their friends/lovers while overcoming obstacles. The obstacles are what make the difference in this manga. The goals of the antagonists are somewhat different from normal and give the manga an edge.

Overall: 7 Ultimately, the manga will appeal to fans of the game more than new readers. Not knowing the game will not put the reader at a disadvantage.
