It makes perfect sense that nagato didn't make it out of this arc considering he was not wearing an akatsuki robe from the beginning.

Damn as much as i whanted to hate this chapter i somehow ended in loving it.

The good thing is that they got to explain why Nagato could resurect the peeps in the village and not his friend or others and why he couldn't just w8 to rest and then use the jutsu and not die.

The jutsu only works on dudes that have just died and they are not in heaven or hell, they are on the way and they have not moved on as of yet- this is from the conversation Kakashi had with his father, when his father says he is rady to move on, now that kakashi has forgiven him.

Something realy important. Konan saying Amegakure will help you make that dream com true, so she is going to be the kage there and Naruto will have another village allied with him. His going to make all the vilages come togeder and form something like a federation or republic.

Nagato RIP, in the end you found the real GOD may he forgive you so you can rest in peace and meat your friends/family again (like kakashi).

I still think it is horrible. There was nothing cool about it. Naruto escaped having to make a decision about what to do with Nagato after deciding not to kill him. Disappointing.

Totally agree with you.the way kishi 'converted' nagato is plausible, i admit, but it also ruined so much potential.we all know about Naruto's 'strange power', but allowing all enemies with different ideals to be converted is way too convenient
Hey, i overlooked ur 1st 2 lines.No man ,i can't say what kishi came up with is horrible.It isgood, but could have been much better- that's what i feel.

Well Jiraiya's book is certain to become a best seller in both Konoha and Amegakure after this arc.

The recent developments has to have completely flipped the scenarios that many had envisioned for the Danzou/Root, Naruto/Konoha possibilities. Especially if Nagato's Tensei extended it's reach to Froggles, Danzou may be forced to flee the village and try his coup in another way. Perhaps he will try to forge an alliance with the currently enraged Raikage.

I don't know... I still see Danzous reasons(minus the selfish reason to become Hokage) for keeping Naruto away from Akatsuki as the correct course of action. Of course, things turned out completely unbeneficial for him(so far), but you really can't fault him for wanting to keep Naruto away from the enemy. In the end, Tsunade still took a rather large gamble... faith can only dictate the future so much... at somepoint logic still needs to be a factor.

Let us reflect on Nagato/Pain as well as this tremendeous Pain Arc which has seemingly and sadly come to an earth shattering end...

- Nagato takes over Amakagure, undoutably killing hundreds as well as Hanzou and his family. Because he wants to live out Yahiko's dream right?

- Nagato "leads" Akatsuki, who are responsible for some of the biggest crimes in the Shinobi World, and as well having undoutably killed hundreds. All in order to gain the power of the Bijuu for Nagato's gun right?

- In hindsight the Kazekage Gaara arc seems to have mainly been a way for Kishimoto to get rid of the Sand Shinobi from his series. But hey who really wants to see any more characters develop right?

- The 7 Bijuu that Nagato collected for his "Big Gun" are just going to be sitting there now, and he will never get to fire that gun. Which also defeats his life long goal of being god and brining peace, but hey no big deal right?

- Most of the Akatsuki members that inevitably died because they did what Pain wanted, pretty much have died for no real reason. Seeing as Nagato will never get to use his big bad gun. But hey they all must have had a "blast" doing it right?

- Jiraiya, the coolest shinobi of all time, was killed by Nagato, and as we can see now he died for no real important reason as well. But on the bright side being killed by your student and then having him repent for it is just priceless right?

- Hinata after expressing her long lasting love for Naruto dies, well not really, she just got a scratch, but hey it was a good way to get Naruto to go "off" right?

- Anko, Sai, Yamato who pretty much had Kabuto's trail had to retreat to stop Naruto's seal from breaking right? oh wait...

- Minato did that, and he also told Naruto everything we already knew/suspected. So this has definately a momentous moment in Naruto history right?

- Nagato, thinking of the book his great sensei Jiraiya wrote, the same guy he didn't hesitate a moment to kill, suddenly turns into Ghandi. And all is well forgiven and forgotten right?

- Nagato uses his "Jesus-no-Jutsu" brings back everyone he killed, no wait he brings back all of the Konoha shinobi he killed, no wait he only brings back the people he killed when he invaded Konoha. Which is a gracious and selfless act right?

- Which also clearly explains the reason why Nagato never used that jutsu to save Yahiko, and his other lost comrades. Seeing as all he wanted to do was to live out Yahiko's dream right?

In the end the only purpose that this Pain arc served was some family bonding between the Hatake family. Oh and now i think we all definately know why Orochimaru left Akatsuki in the first place. And for anyone who will undoutably write that famous "If you don't like it then don't read it" phrase i say this to you. If you don't like what i've written then don't read it.

lol Jiraiya didnt die for no reason. if he didnt die none of this would have happened and the world wouold have ended up being destroye. that book, everything hes done, his death, pretty much saved their world lol

People say they wanted a true villain -- someone beyond redemption -- but it should've been obvious from the very beginning once we learned of his tie with Jiraiya that sooner or later he would show signs of being the type of person that Jiraiya remembered or that he wouldn't be your typical mad man out for blood.
I think the manga has taken a major step with how it has decided to handle this encounter with Naruto and Nagato. It couldn't have been handled any better.

I really liked how it ended too! I didn't expect Nagato to be persuaded all of a sudden, I mean I didn't rely on his connection to Jiraiya at all, but I was pleasantly surprised to see him revive everyone. This manga kicks ass!
I was enjoying the chapter so much...until Sasuke's bitchy emo mug popped back into the picture, ugh!! I hope he gets a damn good ass-kicking.

The Uchiha's second house wasn't in Konoha. That house was a clan hideout they used to store weapons and stuff, if I remember correctly.

well thats the thing in case of nagato it was not a case of different ideals it was just a case of misplaced ideals

i think i found nagato's conversion more plausible then even gaara's conversion simply because nagato was essentially naruto when he was younger its like nagato got to see his past all over again and thats what changed him

If katsuyu was all the time with naruto which means she was also with naruto when he was talking with yondaime so did katsuyu overheard naruto and minato conversation.

So the snail is relaying what happened to all all the other snails back at konoha? All I can think of is how much trouble Danzou is going to be in when people find out what he did to Yahiko and Nagato.

Also all those people complaining about Nagato bringing people back to life. He does say there is a time limit to when he can bring people back. So it makes sense that he only brought the Konoha ninja back to life. He was dying anyway, so he might as well used all of his remaining Chakra to help those that he could. It makes sense that he didnt sacrifice his life to bring back Yahiko too because of that reason.
