I find it strange that Konoha nins killed his family (hence the chip on his shoulder)but he readily accepted Jiraiya as his master. I think Madara fucked with his memory and implanted a seed of hate there.

Last thing Yahiko would do is put his friend through training with a nin affiliated with the village that slaughtered his family.

The whole Jiraiya trainning them bugs me in General. If Konoha was an enemy village why ask J-man to train them. Something's super fishy.

I too find strange that he was so willing to be trained by a Konoha nin. Maybe he just found in Jiraiya a mean to become stronger or Jiraiya gained his trust over the time. Maybe that was too why he was always crying, his emotions were at conflict. He befriended a Konoha nin but was resented by the memory of his parents being murdered by them.

About his village and Konoha. I don't think they were at war. The battlefield just happened to be his village. Kinda like in WWII were France and other countries were the battlefields where the allied and Germany were at war.

I would be really disappointed if kishi sums upp what rinnangan can do only in flashback and then kill the only person who could use it

I doubt he'll sum up what the rinnegan can do...that would take several chapters because its a big unanswered question (why does he have it, how did he learn the techniques, etc.). I think it'll just show the house blow up due to gravity powers or something like that...

Id doubt the gravitation thing is part of rinnangan.

so this flashback will kishi only focus on nagato, what about the others. his other pain must be yakiyo's death.

And everything told so far doesn't explain why Nagato only has used Nins known to Jiraya, and I'm sure it's connected with the second pain...

nagato cant base his goals around making the world feel pain for the sake of peace, instead he should help stop other from experiencing the pain he has felt, thus making the world a better place.

Fate.

The great elder sage told Jiraiya that he needed to travel all over the world to fulfill the prophecy. That was because over the course of his travels he would meet the people who became the six paths of Pain that he fought. Thus he would be able to recognize them and make the great choice that the prophecy said he would have to make.

Nagato thus had no purpose in using people Jiraiya had met in the past. He was merely unknowingly fulfilling the prophecy the elder sage gave.

We know there are gods and spirits in the Naruto world so its not unreasonable to think that there are some forces that help guide human fate (while free will still plays an important role).

And the name of the most powerful god in the Naruto world?

Kishimoto.

I think the only reason they're known to Jiraiya was because Jiraiya travelled a lot and knew a lot of Ninja. Jiraiya pointing it out only means that all the ninja in front of him were not "Pain" once upon a time.

If it ends up there's another explanation, fine, but it already makes perfect sense to me as it is.

the three kids (nagato, yahiko and konan) met J, tsu and oro. Oro and Nagato/konan were in akatsuki together for a while right? (unless im mistaken and oro was never in akat but i thought he was). Wouldn't this be strange? Oro knew nagato/yahiko/konan and had made that remark on

Isn't this a little strange and foreboding? Maybe oro and nagato link up somewhere in the not-so-distant past and exchange their world-views?

Also maybe this is why all the bodies nagato used were from J's past? (oro could have harvested them or suggested using them).

Second most powerful god? The popularity polls at shounen jump.

Though I see what you're saying, I'm kinda put off by the plot relying on the whole mystic of fate and prophecy and being born special.
Naruto started with the theme that there isn't such a thing as fate of destiny and that really struck a cord to me.
Now this arc brings hasn't killed the message yet and there's still time to do something amazing with naruto's answer but it's been largely in contradiction with part 1 and some of the better conclusions in the whole manga, imo.

You know what I'm really hoping for?
That it gets revealed that nagato has read j-man's book and killed those pain body nins (whom we could assume are notorious bad guys) in his own attempt at a crusade for peace, young naruto style.
Then something really bad happens, iunno, like yakiho betraying them maybe?
And pain is born.

nagato probably said that konoha nins are dangerous and then yahiko said:"i'm brave,i'm mighty,i will ask them!"
then he said they are good konoha nins and that they are not dangerous
then nagato thought:"konoha nins are not that bad,only those 2 bastards were mean!"
and he kinda grew on jiraiya,but then yahiko died(probably in the heads of konoha nins) and hated them then!

I'm betting they're not konoha nins who killed yahiko. Pain hates all the villages and all the countries, not just konoha.
