If I am repeating something I apologise. I think most of the old characters will be much stronger. There seems to be 8 monster in in the 1st court, including this Kazuya. Some of the strongest characters will play against the first court members.

I will use your own example. It would be like you saying Fuji's vanishing serve isn't a serve, because it is underhand. A serve is still a serve, no matter how advanced. In the same way, the doors are still muga.

No it isn't, Fuji's serve is inherently different from the waterfall serve thats i mentioned just as the doors are inherently different from one another..the effects between them are so widespread

Vanishing serve probably utilizes sidespin, waterfall serve is a flat serve...if you think those are the same thing then so help you

Maybe it was allready asked, I dont know, but does anyone know what type of shot Sanada's Moutain was? Cannot find it in the manga, except for him against Atobe but we dont really see anything there but the ball laying at the net. It couldnt be a simple drop shot, could it?

It is a defense move that involves Sanada teleporting. Like the first part of Rai, if you will. It isn't exactly an attack.

I'm waiting for Atobe the King to say something just to argue with what I say.

I'm pretty sure it was never given in Manga, in which case we can't know for sure. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

75% of the things I say ended up coming true in PoT1. It doesn't matter if it is subjective. Everything is subjective in a false reality. Why even point out the obvious?

As for the drop shot theory, I was the one who said that, because of his match with Atobe, having the ball drop in front of the net. However, it was the anime that made me think differently. It shows Sanada do Zan against Tezuka in the OVA. All he did was instantly get to the ball, and hit it. Since the OVA came out "after" the manga series already introduced Sanada's "Fuu, Rin, Ka, In, and Rai" but not "Zan," I believe Zan was shown in the OVA only.

Saying that you have a good track record at guessing or predicting (even a VERY good one) still gives you no authority to state things the way you do. You need clarifying statements.


It does matter if it's subjective! Not everything is subjective in fiction. Dude, where did you learn logic and reasoning from? Saying Ryoma beat Yukimura is OBJECTIVE. Saying Ryoma could crush Yukimura 6-0 with his right hand is SUBJECTIVE. Surely you can see the difference and why there needs to be a difference in how you would state the two.

You CONSTANTLY state things of the second example in the nature of the first. That is a fault and I see no reason why people shouldn't point out when you are posting opinion vs fact since you seem to not care to differentiate between the two when you post.

Also I've never seen the anime, cause I can't stand anime. So if it's in there than I would agree that that is a fine source and good reason to believe that.

Here we can see Sanada holding his racket like he wants to hit a slice or a drop shot. We also can see him not standing at the net, but between the baseline and the service line. So I guess Zan isnt a net only move like serve and volley is. He does also say "immovable like a mountain" and as we can figure the sentences that come with every move he does have some meaning to the shot itself: "fast like the wind" -> a very fast shot ; "Strike like lightning" -> an unpredictable, side spinning shot that is very powerful and cannot be returned, same as getting hit be a real lightning bolt, you would lose body control and thus letting go of everything in your hand ; "quiet like the forest" -> a smooth, slow and harmless ball. For me, "quiet" suits it well ; etc.

So immovable could mean that something cannot move because of the ball he plays. IF it is an drop shot, maybe he hits it to a place his opponent wont expect. For example Atobe is running to the left baseline corner, thinking Sanada will play a normal slice to that position but instead Sanada hits an drop shot to the right low corner... in the opposite direction to Atobes movement. That would Atobe caught in surprise and he will be unable to change direction, thus being somehow unable to respone quickly enough. Thats where the immovable aspect sets in. I personally like that theory because it would be an extremly effective and realistic way to score a point.

Also, if Zan is really, like you Fayte sugguested, a teleporting thing then why is Tezuka not surprised seeing it but shocked as he used it as the first part of Rai, which is also a teleport. And the "immovable like a mountain" just makes no sense for me, because it would be the exact opposite. Like I stated above all phrases he uses for each special move actually refer to the behavement of the shot.

Why the hell would people discuss facts without opinion? There is not one time I said something without an "objective" backing to it. I mean who sits around discussing facts all day?

A fact without being followed by prediction is worthless to talk about. That is with life, not just PoT.

I ignore the OVA's they are more canonically true than the original Anime but they still take their own liberties (removing KaRinRai)

If i had to Guess Zan is probably a drop shot like you say since he's holding the racket in position to hit a drop but i also think it's supposed to be the ultimate defense against passing shots passing shots
