I know plenty of high schoolers who went from babyfaced to goatee and older looking by senior year...granted none of them have ever been Asian >.>;;
Byodouin probably went through the same thing as this guy in Fist of North Star did
Why didn't Konomi just stick to the younger character model of Byoudouin. He looks way better. Although I must confess, when I glanced at that panel fast, I thought it was Kenya. Until I realized it absurd that Kenya would ever overshadow Oni on any panel.
Yeah, the problem is that you can't go from looking like a cross between Kenya and Atobe to looking freaking European.
Spoiler time. To start off, here are two images:
It seems to be two chapters again this month, summaries can be found here, in posts 435 and 440.
From what I can gather, we get to see Byoudouin vs Oni and they are evenly matched at first, Oni pulls ahead with 6 at once and Byoudouin fights back with the wall shattering move we saw him use when attacking Ryoma and Kazuya. I believe the second image is shown right afterwards. Oni wins 7-6 I think, but not completely sure.
The technique Byoudouin uses in the first image seems to be called Pirates of the American.
If anyone can translate the summaries before I get back tonight, that'd be greatly appreciated. If not, I'll probably be able to get into contact with Sai and get them from him.

Both Byodoin and Oni have no data on the power chart when they played each other, and regular guys can't even see them playing, including the ref.
Oni went up 5-4 on Byodouin in the first part, and Byodouin says it's time for him to get serious. Byodouin says he's thankful to have an opponent as Oni as this pushes him to a higher level. Byodouin does his wall shattering move, and Oni tried to return it and got his scar that way, but then he remembered that the kids want him to become the number 1 player in Japan, and turns into a demon and returns it and wins 7-6.
Edit: Actually Byodouin apparently wasn't holding back when he was behind 4-5, he just said he wasn't gong to lose. He improved after being down 4-5 and according him, that's because he put his life on line in this game and from that he obtained power not from this world.

Yay, Santa Oni was the victor.
Hehe, i hope Kin-chan doesn't get scaried if Oni shows his demon mode to him. I thought it was some joke when i saw the demon image in spoiler.
So Oni's true power is that he can become a demon? Kin-chan's going to have a really hard time, if he manages to overcome it then he'll be god
So right now... Byoudouin > Oni right?...
Like how Atobe bt Tezuka 7-6 but currently Tezuka will wipe the floor with Atobe right?
Or is Oni genuinely the guy who is the beast of the camp.
Either way, Tooyama is in trouble.
Oni becomes Akuma AND beats the crap out of Byoudouin?!
This chapter is gonna be gooooood
I'm disappoint to not see any Kintarou vs Oni action. But this match is amazing enough.
The man in blue translated the first chapter summary completely, second part to come later hopefully.
Nice that we got Byoudouin's school.
Also after the quantum physics from last month, what kind of explanation can we come up with for the smoke on the court?
