I'm inclined to believe Tohno's weakness is like a 'devil form' switch too, i.e. he becomes more powerful but the effect will also destroy himself.
Kimijia is supposed to be the negotiator, not the liar. If everything he said was a lie we already got people better at coming up with lies than he does. I'm guessing his plan is that Tohno will go crazy and murder the other side, and then would self destruct so he can get a new partner, and if Kite somehow didn't die from the onslaught he's open to having Kite as his new partner too.
Just because Perfect Fortress can be beat by a lob doesn't mean it's not a good upgrade for Marui. He's an offense player, so to get a defensive technique is a huge upgrade, even if it's not invincible. Let him rock.
Does that mean the spoilers are coming out soon!!!!
I can dream, can't I >.<
Spoilers are out.
1 Chapter only this month, but it's 35 pages
-Wonder Castle gives Marui godlike reflexes and he's capable of returning all the execution techniques
--the new plan is to force Kimijima and Tohno to lob the ball and have Kite attack with Ohabu; Kimijima/Tohno can't deal with it because Marui hides the path of the ball or something along those lines
-Kimijima takes off Tohno's limiter
--Tohno hits Execution Techniques 11 and 10, Iron Maiden and St. Andrew's Cross, Marui returns them both
--Tohno then hits Execution Technique No. 9 Pitiokamptis (we're not 100% sure on this one... it's probably the Greek term for quartering somebody), which is basically him throwing his racket at Marui and injuring Marui's eye
--- this forces Marui to bandage the wound and results in him having a blind spot, Wonder Castle is broken
--Tohno hits the rest of his execution techniques and Kite takes all of them
---for some reason, once you got hit by all 13 techniques, you're unable to move anymore
-Ryoma and Ryoga go to the bathroom to chat
-Kite is hit and paralyzed by the rest of the execution techniques
-they are trying to lob the ball over Marui at match point, but Marui reaches the ball and smashes Tohno's knee
--flashback: Marui makes a deal with Kimijima
--he wants him to call a famous US doctor to perform a surgery on Yukimura to heal him completely
-Kimijima ends the match on his own, Tohno's badge falls to Marui's feet
--final score is 6-3, 6-2 for the 1st String
Before anyone asks, no the spoiler doesn't indicate anything about who's playing next.

Good fucking shit! Marui rocks, as expected. And shout-outs to Execution Tech. 5 being called "Columbia Necktie."

What the hell? So Tohno can't play? Marui will replace him?
6-2, oh that was unexpected. So Ryoga, what is he saying to Ryoma?
Well, we got Niou/Atobe winning, and Duke and Kimijima/Tohno winning, so it's 2-1 first string. Next one is Sanada vs Shuuji? Sanada will definitely win.

Marui in the top ten...
Didn't see that happening a year ago.
Yeah Sanada is basically the new No.2 lol.
Thanks a lot Kaoz.
Is Wonder Castle what we believed was Perfect Fortress?
Is Tohno on the ground as in he can no longer move?
And does this mean Kimijima defeats Marui and Kite by himself?
Marui is AWESOME!!!! THIS IS WHAT I MISS FROM KONOMI. THE GOOD WRITING REALLY IS BACK FOR GOOD.
Glad to have Konomi back man. Right after the Team Shuffle, through to That Black Jersey revolution was appaling, but the G10 excluding Duke VS Gin is just excellent.
Its this sort of thing that makes me pleased about improvement from Konomi. This is the regular PoT style of improvement on a character.
Kimijima was a fantastic opponent. What a twisted guy. Glad No.8 and 7 didn't lose to Marui/Kite.
Ohabu is such a boss technique.
Here's the names of all the execution techniques:
No. 1 Seppuku
No. 2 Shooting
No. 3 Burried Alive
No. 4 Pear of Anguish
No. 5 Columbian Necktie
No. 6 Cement Shoes
No. 7 The Brass Bull of Phalaris
No. 8 Wickerman
No. 9 Pitiokamptis
No. 10 Crucifix of St. Andrew
No. 11 Iron Maiden
No. 12 Electric Chair
No. 13 Guillotine
Hell YEAH! And that is why Marui is my favorite PoT chapacter!
Technically we don't know for sure who will become Kimijima's partner either.
Not really. Kite was hit by all the execution techniques beforehand, so he's unable to move as well, and it's only for the last point.
The score make sense. Those two simply aren't on Niou/Atobe level. I'm glad Konomi didn't push though and make them seem like they have a chance of winning this.
I think Tohno and Kimijima both have show us something that proved their ranking. All in all, I'm pretty happy with this.
Yes, Perfect Fortress was the translation the Chinese scans gave it. The Japanese name is Wonder Castle (Wonder because of Myougi which means Wondrous Technique).
It was already pretty close to match point when Kimijima wins it. He serves it out to a Kite who can no longer play.
Tohno is last seen refusing help and making his way to the medical station/center something.
Also a note on Execution Style No. 9, The term is all in katakana as Diasufendoneeze. Wiki Japan said it was a form of execution in Ancient Greece where they hung you upside down tied each leg to a tree and let the tree split you in half. It was essentially an ancient form of being drawn and quartered.
I've been going back and forth with a greek friend trying to figure out the right spelling of the word. I think we'll just settle for the greek term for dismemberment which is: diamelismos
The term Kaoz wrote down is another term we discussed since it's seems it may be the root of the latter half of whatever the japanese called it.
