quite interesting. too bad that video didn't show all the chars. Yun and fei long didn't really need new stuffs, they're already too strong
I want a new edition!
I missed out arcade cuz i thought to myself: yo, you dont need that, you have no time to play anyway, but i sure hope it's not the alst sf4 installment.
and knowing capcom, and won't be <:
I think there is one last version that is to be released early 2012. With more balancing of characters and improved gameplay.
I'm terrible at this game, but I like the depth of it. Losing so many matches can be discouraging but at the same time I don't mind it since I'd like to think I'm learning something in the process. I guess my thing about this game is that the timing on most if not all the advanced combos requires very strict timing and I'm just terrible at that. (I'm hoping that gap is opened a little bit in Street Fighter X Tekken) Not to mention I play on pad (trying to switch to stick is very tedious and I don't have the time to put into that)
I use to play Street Fighter 2 heavily back in my childhood and teen days, but I stopped playing and since lost that competitive edge I once had. Trying to adapt what little I can remember from SF2 and SFA2 to SSF4:AE (not sure if I want to upgrade to 2012 yet) has been (is) quite a challenge. Stuff like FADC, plink, negative edge are stuff I'm not use to and while I understand the concept of it and whatnot, actually being able to do that stuff in an actual match is another, and my thumbs are NOT (sorry typo) that fast enough to do that.
Anyway, while I'm not trying to get at that competitive level to go to tournies and whatnot I do want to be at least a little decent in the game. My main is Cody and I know for sure I want to learn Guy along with Yun.
So I've been playing this quite a bit as of late (the main reason why I haven't been on the internet as much), but I've been having a bit of an identity crisis because I couldn't decide on who I wanted to main. I said Cody, but I don't really find him to be all that fun. Guy is a character I favor over everyone else, but a lot of his moves tend to lead me to my defeat way too much, and he's one I'd like to use just to kick back with. Yun, I originally thought was a fun character because of his speed, but I'm not feeling him anymore, mainly due to his dive kick. I'm not a fan of it even though it's a huge part of his game.
Then I was gonna main Fei Long and perhaps Yang, and while I'm still on the fence about Fei Long due to his style, I'm not entirely sure just yet. Yang, I find him to be way more fun than Yun, but like his twin I'm terrible with the dive kicks.
And while I'm still having a bit of a crisis, I think I'm going with Ibuki as my main and having Akuma as my backup along with Ryu (and possibly Ken). Ibuki is the kind of character that just seems too fun to past up. From what I've read about her in guides she has a high learning curve due to her super jump cancel, but I don't mind trying to learn that at all.
As far as Akuma and Ryu goes, I called myself trying to stay away from the shoto's because I used them in every single Street Fighter game I've played. I'm considering Akuma because he has a vortex similar to Ibuki. Ryu, I don't know, mainly because no one else is satisfying me right now. (I'm waiting for my SF x T fightpad to arrive so I won't have to rely on the shoto's)
