Hey =] Moved everything from the Naruto Spoiler Discussions thread here, to keep it organized.

Let's discuss how to improve our spoiler threads. We tried a new system this week, and received some complaints. So we'd love to hear your opinions on it. How to improve? What's lacking? What is the 1st thing you look for on it? How many times do you check it a day?

A poll will be posted later; although the results won't necessarily reflect the definitive staff decision, they will help us to find a good solution to the problem that can please the majority.

The new system isn't bad. Though will there be another thread for international translations? Also will the posts be deleted after they are transferred to the first post?

I like the new system. Just delete the other posts. They are unnecessary now

i think it's a bit confusing, you have spoiler repeated twice...I understand that you want to mass everything together, but this way things get repeated.

Maybe before it worked better. Since the spoilers are tagged with a status, people can read and know what is confirmed or not.

Also, people (me included) participate in the spoiler hunt and enjoy it. If you start deleting their posts, it would take away the drive to do so (imo).

if it was other thread with the sum of the confirmed spoilers, would be much better in my opinion.

mangahelpers has a good forum to discuss stuff because of the rules they created and followed

That's your opinion.

the fakes get deleted right away, and still people will post fakes even in the new system.

As for mods only posting >Not really, NF has members posting as well as mangashare. This way allows members to feel more active in the community.
This is a community in the end, you want people to participate. If you start taking these privileges from them it will affect the system. Like I said, most people want to discuss and part of them want to translate/hunt/be active.

Let everyone have a choice to do what they want to do.

for the most part it works, but it's still kinda pointless if it isn't updated as quickly as the new spoiler comes out. Only way to fix it is to have the spoilers go through the mods so they can post it and not allow others to post in there...of course this runs into the same problem of the mods not being around to post the spoilers.

if there was a thread with confirmed spoilers which was only allowed to be edited by mods, I would only look for that thread.

I don't second that. Granted I'm here a lot, but not enough to keep spoilers up to date.

Hum, yes, at least this week the spoilers are posted twice, and that's a bit redundanct, but this is because of the "thanks" button, since all the thanks will vanish once we delete the spoilers.

And in a first moment, the international translations will be listed in the first post, spoiler tagged, below the original script/translation.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback and suggestions, they were very appreciated and we'll work looking to improve that section
