Well the song is good. The intro animation is on the same level as the French translation intro : big crap.

If they skip the long recaps, they could speed up the series during the Zabuza arc

same. i've started to hate naruto a little now with how bad the music is in the series. looking back at part 1, the music was great with that ninja-y feeling that it had, like in jiraiya's theme song and the main naruto theme. but with shippuden, the songs just kinda lose their feeling and sound stupid in some places; the only one i like is the akatsuki song, and maybe that one that played when chiyo used her kunai to strike hiruko in episode 19. and now with both the new theme song for shippuden and this song, i've kinda given up hope for this show to actually redeem itself. i might change my views when the fillers end in a few weeks, but i'm not that sure.

See TV-Japan, they have some of the episode of the Shounen Hen. The raw is 800x600, good quality and you can download them thanks to the bot in IRC.

I wish someone could re-release these episodes with the old subs. Would be nice to get the old ones in a little higher quality.

I've already answered this 2 post ago:

There is no reason for subs it. It's only a rerun of the original series with new openings and endings.

For what I know it's a simply rerun with new opening and endings. Maybe they will skip the filler, but the resolution is still 4:3 with any modification of the pace.

Well, it's not 16:9 like kai, but i didn't check if it has fillers...
