"Whatever I see, I steal. Because I'm a soccer prodigy"
LOL what? XD
Woot, another weekend is here (wonder where the week days went!).
Gratitude and best wish to Shinji and Silen!
OH MY GOD! Why does the author hates me so much and delays the inevitable!!!! I WANT TO SEE TSUBASA PLAYING FOR BARÇA SO MUCH!!!!
72 was great, but 73 was awfull... I hate hyuga so much!!!!
Thanks a lot shinji for all the work you go through to bring us the translated chapters!!! You're the man!!!
elderamy: Why do you hate Hyuga?
But except for this, I liked that chapter. Now, Hyuga is already speaking italian so well, don't you think? This, or a lot of players from Juventus already understand japanese. Hehe
Barca V.S real madrid... guess we will see Tsubasa V.S naturezza again (see world youth, chapter 64)
According to wiki, the history of the Spanish Derby (aka El Clásico ("The Classic") aka El derbi español) has been more or less even for the teams involved:
Team_________Win Draw Loss Goals for
I have a question for those who know more about real soccer: is it bad for a team to have 2 game makers on the field? If not, what was Van Saal's earlier dilemma when Tsubasa expressed interest in being a game maker?
Tsubasa's joining Barca for this important match is one of the most exciting plot elements the author has done in a loooong time.

izawa and tsubasa were both game makers in nankatsu
I'm more interested in other players' fate, than Tsubasa joining the top team, and imemdiately gets a dream start against Naturezza Gonzales looks like he's working hard.... Transfer imminent maybe? Well, in any case, we have one (not really so)possible transfer now for Van Saal, but it seems Tsubasa already saved him the day xD (plot device ftw >.>).
But it seems, Tsubasa-Rivaul pair.. is not going to happen it seems Rivaul probably need to rest for a long time and all....
Road 72: The most interesting moment for me was the supporters' reaction towards Gonzales. Then, the magazines summaries... I hate them. I hate them since the World Youth's semi-finals, and I hate them even more now that I have to scanlate them >_> They really are a pain in the ass. Well, more seriously, it seems that Fago is another reason behind Barca's demise. Though we already knew that he transferred, the impact is clearer now. Tsubasa having fun training and his little song on how he steals techniques was kinda fun too, I don't know, I found him refreshing at that moment.
Road 73: Somehow doesn't looks that exciting... But, with the doctor's words all the way back from Road 19, it was really cool. Makes Hyuga's appearance almost boring >_>
Road 74: No words or thoughts from Gonzales when he ran... And that's what made this little appearance under the bridge of hope so cool as well. A necessary flashback explanation to know why Van Saal is still here... And the announcement of the next opponent.
Road 75: Fago, one of Barca's former pillar, Blueno, the one who gave so much trouble to Rivaul in the "elbow hit" story back in Road 9... A bunch of other great players... And Natureza! New hairstyle, and gosh, his appearance is just so great! The picture with the birds, the picture where he's standing up, and he's already showing a surnatural soccer
Pehu: Well, we did see him taking lessons
angel1980: If I don't really know about real soccer, I can still give you the CT point of view.
Actually, even if it might be too subtle sometimes, this is one of Road to 2002's "themes".
In Road 14, you had with Schester a perfect example of what the game maker can do: last passes to any player, defending, attacking on his own...
You must remember, from Road 17 for example, that the game maker is a "Top Shita", this refers to his position: at the top most position, but behind the forwards.
If you take a look at Road 49, Rivaul isn't the only one who has game making skills in Barcelona, Grandios can handle it as well, but he has a position of "Volante", defensive mid fielder, just above the defenders. I took Grandios, but you have other examples: Delpi, for example, having a forward position even though he's a game maker.
Then we had Saint Pierre in Road 64, who explained that another position wastes some of a game maker's skills.
So, Van Saal's problem isn't really to have 1, or 2, or more game makers on the field, but rather how to position them, if he wants to exploit their game making skills to the utmost.
I still cant download c74 since yesterday. always got error message at the MF page.
Natureza:"nope, the air feels just as bad as usual today, the birds told me that too"
huh?Natureza can talk to birds ? I think that it's a little too....surnatural .
but yes, Natureza's appearance is very nice. I love his Ronaldinho-like haircut
Yeah, he always had this kind of... natural feel about him. But yes, that's kind of a lame way to describe a brazilian player. I'm brazilian, and believe me, people here do not speak with birds. lol
Shinji: Yeah, I saw him taking lessons, but I don't think that it would be so easy for a japanese to learn italian. How much time has gone anyway? Five weeks, at most?
Also, there's always the example of Anderson, from Manchester United. He is playing there for almost two years, and look at his english skills:
I can't help but laugh at the idea of Kojiro speaking like this in italian.
