lol Jeremy Lin showed some linsanity today against the Spurs, too bad the coaching is terrible. McHale is a terrible coach. Parker was on fire, he nailed a triple double. that was really a big Tony P vs Linsanity crazy game tonight, one of the best game i saw this season. I had goosebumps on the 3rd QT
jesus, Lakers are sucking so bad right now... good thing I'm busy this month, cuz I would be really pissed if I had been watching them until 4am
The answer is blow everything, the team is old and can't defend anymore. Seriously, even the young guys can't defend properly (just watched Jordan Hill missing 3 rotations)
D12 isn't the same defensive force on D since his surgery.
Anyway, after 2 weeks or so I'm finally watching them again... man they're everything I hate in basketball
Jumpers, jumpers, jumpers, jumpers.... I hate jump shooting teams, and it's almost the only thing they're doing right now, we need Nash back to at least have a good P&R game. No D, no D, no D... damn
I have no words for this team
D'Antoni system without P&R....
it's more like the Orlando Magic system, without D and without good 3 point shooters
Lakers screwed it up when they gave up on Bynum who would excel alongside Nash (of course, assuming they were both healthy) in the offense and got Howard in, whose offensive skills have only a bit more than just dunking.
Gasol will be the key to the offense run by Nash, and we'll get to see how good they can be, but so far, they are headed in a direction well below the expectations even if the injured guys will eventually come back. The aura surrounding the team is horrible. It's not like they are really confident in themselves as a group right now.
I don't agree with the Bynum part...
Bynum is a great post up player, better them Howard on that... but do you remember the last time that a post up center played with Nash?
It was that Suns with Shaquille, they didn't make the POs and the team quit on the coach(Terry Potter).
Nash excels on the P&R, Bynum almost never got in P&R situations in the past(he doesn't have that quick feet).
Howard was the best P&R finisher of the league the last seasons... after this surgery I don't know. He doesn't have the same mobility nor she same lift anymore.
Bynum knee's are dead anyway...
my problem with this team is the (lack of)defense and the fact that coaches are trying to force an offense on to the team... great coaches adapt the style fot the best of the players, not the players to the style

I can agree with him being more of a post player, but Shaq was 36 when he played alongside Nash, so, I wouldn't look into that case this much.
I absolutely agree with the coaching part, though. That's why, Mike D'Antoni isn't a great coach. I wouldn't even consider him a good coach. His offense-first mentality brings little success in the long term, and Don Nelson was the master of it. D'Antoni's system isn't even that cool.
Mike D'Antoni is overrated and the Lakers are going nowhere fast. Nash comes back and alleviates some of the pain, but even then are they legit title contenders with all of their problems? Heck no
They'll contend just by sheer talent alone
but the bad defense, the terrible rotation(lack of bench play and too much minutes for the old legs) and the bad coach will be their downfall
I think they'll not win the championship, but the guys on west will be scared to play them on the POs
Christmas games already underway!
The Celtics with an impressive first half against the Nets. They are up by 14 at the half.
I wonder if Bradley will help them to move up a gear or two when he returns next week.
waiting for thunder- heat
Clippers look like the real deal. They beat the Nuggets down. Knicks - Lakers ended up being the game of the day.
