When has shino's intellect ever been made such big deal out of as Shikamaru's?

When he 1. Beat Zaku. 2. Beat Kankuro. 3. Caught Madara.

TIED with Kankuro, ( or worse; Kankuro walked away on his own, Shino was left poisoned and was saved by his father). Was made a fool out of by Madara. No, let me take that back. That's all. I refuse to put that on level with everything Shikamaru has done in the series.

The three character solely devoted to pointing this out, the databook entries that gave him a 5 in intelligence when Kakashi still had a 4.5 (and Shino a 3), The fact that he became a Chuunin instead of Neji and Sasuke, beating the Akatsuki, mostly through using his brain, capturing 8 Chuunin level shinobi by himself when he;s tired, his matches against Temari and Tayuya are more then enough validety to such a claim.

But I'm not saying that at all. I'm just saying that Shino isn't as smart as shikamaru. Shino is hardly everybody.

Hey guys,

I posted this already, but I felt like posting it again
Maybe we could discuss this (or anything else) instead of having you two fight over Hinata and Pain for 2 hours.

Here's my theory on how the fight would go and how the winner only depends on one thing : Are they fighting during the day or during the night!?

If the combat is during day : Team 10 wins.

Predicition of a battle outcome :

- Chouji expand to make a huge shadow
- Shikmaru takes all of the 3 others in his shadow
- If that not enough to stop Shino's bug, Ino take control of his mind will he's immobilized
- If that still not enough, Shikamaru makes Kiba take out Shino using the Shadow mimic jutsu. (In a real battle, he could have him kill Shino)

I think this is a very likely outcome that would have Team 10 wins in no time.

If the combat is during night : Team 8 wins.

Here's why :

The three of Team 8 have great tracking ability that wouldn't be hindered by the night:
- Hinata could see their opponent perfectly
- Kiba could smell their opponent perfectly
- Shino could use his bug to track them easily

On the other side, almost all of the other User are rendered almost useless during night :
- Shikamaru can't control Shadow if there's no shadow (only solution is to use a flash bomb or to start a fire).
- Ino's ability is almost useless if her target is not immobilized by Shikamaru first and she wouldn't risk it if she can't properly see her opponent (it's unlikely that she clearly see her opponent during the night).
- Chouji is the only one who's ability are not hindered in the night, but he would still be unable to properly track his opponent in the dark.

On those condition, Team 10 would be beaten really quickly.

Beyond the actual rushing at her, you mean? assuming that Naruto's glance was what tipped off God Realm is just a onesided convenience. What did you want them to do? NOT show Naruto's reaction to his rescue?

Naruto's reaction is what caused Hinata's attack to miss. She was attacking from his blind side (Since all of his bodies were destroyed, he couldn't detect her), she was coming in silently, and she could have hit him.

That's all I'm saying.

Yeah, if you read the forum(and others) you would find that quite a lot of people nowadays think the Konoha 9 are weak fodders. I personally don't think they are fodders, and don't think all of them are weak(Shika,Neji,Lee..).

No he didn't. Madara escape him quite easily with his space jutsu, and left him dumbfounded.

Lol, nearly hit my ass. She got beat to a pulp, like always, in just a few secs. Like i said once before, she is about to get her master degree in the art of getting beat to pulp.

Kiba has the quickest attacks as well as the best teamwork with Akamaru.

I like Kiba, he is the only one that give this Team hope. Lets hope he give the Team a better name in upcoming chapters.

On Team 10 we have Ino, whose more useless than Sakura was in Part 1. Choji won't be able to hit Kiba, Hinata, or Shino and will eventually be drained. And then Shikamaru will be fighting alone against someone just as smart (Shino).

Ino is pretty useless by herself, but when she is with Shikamaru that all change. I don't see why Chouji woundn't be able to hit Kiba, and i don't see what Kiba can do that will actually do much harm to Chouji. One hit from super-size Chouji and Kiba will be done for. Also Chouji have those crazy family pills, once he start using that the match is pretty much over. Shikamaru can take on any of Team 8 without much problem.

Maybe it'd be believe that if he showed more a of a reaction to APPARANTLY being a second away from being oneshotted. Stoic as he is, he's had an exclamation mark over less. Pain doesn't think much of it, Naruto doesn't see any point into the attack, Hinata aadmita how stupid she's being, I need no further in-story explanation.

Ino is the weakest link. shes a med ninja and a barely moderate one at that. If she could use Mind Derangement jutsu like her father then we may have a problem (she only used it on the anime).

Hell Shino is the only threat. his bugs would be so annoying.

Hinita isn't has been shown to be as weak as she was before. hell she knows a new attack.

I would give this too team 10 only cause shikamaru will come up with a plain that would stop shino's bugs the only real problem hell he could just shadow strangle them all or all he needs to do is capture them with the shadow Ino f she could use Mind Derangement jutsu to completely stop shino and choji smash em all.

This is untrue actually, despite the fact that we dunno what it does and hasn't gotten a chance to use it "Whirlwind Wolf Fang" is mentioned as a new jutsu of Kiba's in the Third databook.

You're right.
With a team with preparation, Team 10 could be very dangerous, but that's only because of Shikamaru.

So, it's not really team 10 that is good... it's only Shikamaru.

Kiba and Chouji are kinda equal, IMO.
I couldn't decide who would win...

Between Ino and Hinata...
Hinata is the clear winner.

Between Shino and Shikamaru... this is a hard one.
I'd say that Shino is stronger and has stronger jutsu (also, maybe his bugs can actually eat the "shadow" since they're made of chakra).

So, if they would to fight, just like that... I'd say Team 8 has a great chance of winning this.

But if they could actually make a good plan, Team 10 is most likely to win.
