I had problems following the smuggling game which became incredible messed up with all the rules, exceptions and betrayals.
On contrary all of this revival round were straight to the point and rather simple which makes it much more comprehensive.
While I loved round 3, the strategies, the revelations about how Liar Game worked, and for introducing Yokoya, after a while the workings of the game got entirely to complex. The second revival round has been easier to follow. The idea of the roulette, at first, didn't seem very compelling. As soon as the rules were explained is when the game started making sense. I liked the poker round a lot, def my favorite of the revival round.
Must say that I don't particularly mind any of the games, the more complex the train of thought is in regards to winning, the better, it's what I fell in love with Gambling Legend Zero.
FYI NULL is looking for a new editor(a person who does everything except the translating and scanning) for liar game. And a translator for the side story of liar game Roots of A. So it might be awhile for a new chapter to come out.
Ah that explains it. Hopefully someone will offer to assist them with that. If only I had the experience and software at hand.
I take it from the comments that this isn't just a DN clone. I might give it a chance.
Good to know. I mean, I liked DN and all, but it's way overrated.
So I've just finished watching the drama to this, and found it great, despite some over the top moments and bright colours in some scenes. One of the things that make the drama great would be the awesome techno-ish/electronica music (especially the main theme). I actually started reading the manga first, but stopped just before the second round for some reason...
Although some of the changes in drama weren't very good (SAW-inspired Leronira, gold-tooth guy, the small number of characters in round 3, the old rich dude...), there are some I liked, like Fukunaga being a flamboyant, retro-sixties style, mushroom haired guy instead of the disturbing (not sure if that's good or bad) tranny in the manga, the LGT woman and the characters introduced in the round 2 which progressed to round 3.
My favourite game in the series would have to bee the card game during the first revival round. I can't believe I hadn't noticed how one-sided the game was earlier. Oh, and by the way, another connection between Liar Game and Death Note would be the fact that Erika Toda, who played Amane Misa in the DN movies plays Nao in the drama.
@CrudeCross I enjoyed the drama as well, even though i don't know how they are going to merge it with the second season. The OST was amazing, if you want to hear more here is the download for it!
Thanks for the dl link! I was just thinking about downloading the awesome OST. And about the second season, the fact that the first one ended with a creepy Leronira probably means that the Liar Game wasn't being controlled by the old man, but by the LGT. The old man was probably being used by the LGT due to his fortune.
Also, I've got a small question concerning Yokoya in the drama. Maybe it's just me, but did I see him snorting some drug? He did that a few times.
Is Null still looking for a translator for Roots of A?
I actually offered to let them use mine...but they haven't said anything to me about it yet. So don't know.
What's Roots Of A? And Onicchi are you talking about Roots Of A or Liar Game?
