Isn't the movie going to be closer to the drama than the manga at this point? thus I reckon it's gone off and done it's own thing.

well the last game in the Drama series was a bit different - yokoya lost and there wasn't anything about wanting him to play next round especially i think he got "converted" by Nao. I think they might face someone new in the next rounds or just be diff games. But for the manga I think we are getting to the final games soon. Fourth round will start soon and with the number of people I think 5th might be semi and 6th finals - maybe with their own preliminaries? Also in the manga i think Yokoya is there to stay so he will probably be the major antagonist.

Yes! New drama and a movie to boot! It's just a shame that the drama didn't follow the 3rd round like it should have.

Liar game sold 84,583 copies of volume 9 not as good as previous volume but it was released on a Thursday so the week was almost over. The drama and movie should boost volume sells like last time. Liar Game should have a strong selling next week, since a whole week will be counted.

I started reading Liar Game recently after someone here recommended it for who knows how many times!! and I've just caught up to the recent chapter. I love the manga!! I have to say I enjoyed reading it a lot and just at the end of the revival round!! now I can't wait for the next round, these games are becoming tougher each round, now the rematch with Yokoya will be awesome...

btw I find it hilarious how Fukunaga has a crush on Akiyama I loled hard on that!!

Something is special about shinobi, When she finished round 3.5 and the scans ran out from Null another group shows up and puts out chapter 84. FrugsAndFriends uses a LQ raw and a LQ editor, are they using MS paint? , but I think the translation is good. But I would still check out the chapter with 31 pages. This qualifying round is going to be amazing .

Yeah...the LQ is kind of distracting. >.< But we're kind of spoiled.

The translation...it's fine, but it kind of lacks something, like it doesn't have the same flow to it.

I wonder if Akiyama being distant of Nao now(pun) means he likes her or if he is being careful of her. I think he doesn't trust her completely anymore since the last game.

OR, plot twist! That is not Akiyama and he wants to be away from Nao so she doesn't notice!

Prolly a bit of both. He likes her (enough that he's sending her reassuring messages) but she's not as predictable or dependent as she used to be.

I think he's kind of worried about Round 4, her, Yokoya, Fukunaga... he's got a lot to think about. ^^;;

Yo...i didn't find any liar game threads, i admit i didn't search that much either.

In my opinion it's a fairly good manga. The art sucks and i don't like the fact that there's only tiny character development.
But it's just the start so things could change.
The story is awesome, though. This whole idea of a game testing various abilities is great. Also akiyama vs yokoya, brings ideologies, personalities in confrontation, which is also a good mark. I also like the fact that they aren't the real heroes here, nao is an unpredictable element with great influence..

I also wonder what's keeping up the translations, the raws exist don't they?

I started reading this yesterday, though I had downloaded it ages ago. It's not much to look at, and it starts out pretty simple, but after a couple of volumes it gets really interesting.

Null's version is done with tanko raws therefore the quality is pretty nice.
