Tennis Doubles Tournament
Beach Volleyball Tournament

Oh? i see i haven't read it yet, i plan to when the anime finishes it's run. Idk it's /definitely/ helped me appreciate SPoT more for w/e reason.
The second season of the Shin Prince of Tennis Fan League has ended and so I want to start preparing the next event soon (estimated to start around the beginning of September). However, since I have not quite decided the exact details of this next event yet, I have added a poll for everyone to express their opinions.
The options I could come up with are:
1) Tennis Doubles. This one is the classic tournament mode in which we discuss various match-ups based on stats, abilities and so on, there wouldn't be any significant changes compared to last time.
2) Beach Volleyball. This format would mirror the filler chapters from the original series (chapter 237 - 239). A major difference to our previous tournaments would be that while discussing match-ups in the context of abilities etc. (any special move could be used as long as you can explain how it would work) is perfectly fine, it's just as valid to come up with a creative story for how the match could play out and gather votes that way.
Now you will notice that there is no option for Tennis Singles. My reasoning for this is simply that we discuss this format all the time and I would probably have a hard time coming up with match-ups we haven't already talked about.
That said, if everyone wants to have another one, I will make it, I just think that some alternatives would be a nice change of pace.
So yeah, please vote and share your thoughts here.
Doubles tourney please.
So I was rereading a bit and noticed this:
Doesn't it look like Niou has a small Muga aura around him here?
The aura looks fiery.
...I think it's just vapour.
Remember when Kaidou was supposed to be unbeatable because he had Gyro Laser/Snake.
Remember Akazawa, the best player in St. Rudolph, that missed the camp but Fuji's brother was invited?
Remember Ishida Tetsu, the first player (and only IIRC) to show a back-handed Hadou?
Remember Saeki at all?
Yeah, PoT is fun.
hey man, i remember Saeki . Did Kaidou even get to do anything in NPoT? I forget lol.
He got destroyed by Tezuka, carried Momo in the mountain and got his drink stolen by Tanegashima... that's Kaidou in NPoT.
Man, I was re-reading Kirihara-Fuji from the link Kaoz posted the other day... unless I'm missing something that match is bs.
Fuji is A-40 in his favour, then Kirihara scores and it's a deuce... then Fuji scores and for some reason he wins the match, lol.
The way it's done looks like he skipped all the fluff and just showed that Fuji won the match. Since all that rally did was give fuji another match point. Kirihara is out of Muga/Shaken up by what just happened..I don't think the next point was very exciting lol. God the anime ruined this match..it was one of my favorites :/
Rewatching OVAs for the billionth time....It's sinking in after all these years....but...Muga No Kyouchi has never actually /helped/ Echizen win any match post Kirihara lol. Helped him take a game from Sanada but then burned him out and he loses 5 games in a row, Atobe actually doesn't lose a point VS Echizen in Muga,Kintarou keeps up with it the entire time, lastly, Yukimura just returned everything. I feel like using it has handicapped him every time lmao. Generally doesn't even win the match with Muga in the end.
I also find it funny that Atobe says that using things like Muga No Kyouchi are why Echizen isn't at Tezukas level when almost every PoT god has achieved it, including Tezuka.
Still love how Atobe stole all variations of Akutsu's theme.

Well, achieving and using it are a different things. Sanada also didn't want to use it. I guess they are both too proud of themselves to even consider using such a move (even though Atobe never had it as far as we know).
