More chapters came out. There's just something warm fuzzy feeling about reading the scanlation instead of looking at Raw+translated text.
Yeah, I gotta say I REALLY, REAAALLLYYY appreciate Rycolaa for bringing out these releases.
It seems that the translation we had until now was totally messed up. Glad Rycola came back to do the translations again. Reading the chapters now with their translation gives a totally different feeling.
Dunno where to post this, but:
Could it be that Kirihara's Phantom Ball (anime only) was planned to be part of the manga but never made it?
Back in Kanto, it was said that Kirihara was training against southpaws in order to defeat Tezuka (it was shown in a page that he defeated like 12 left handed Highschoolers in a row... I dunno what page is it though ).
Then, when Kirihara was playing against Echizen, Jackal said this:
So, Kirihara being better against southpaws is really a thing (or it was just mentioned 2 times in the manga to show how awesome Muga was)? Should we take it into consideration in future tier discussions?
Taking into account that he's stronger against lefties is fine (we'd do the same for Yuuta for instance) I think. Phantom Ball is a no though, after all it never actually appeared, so it doesn't matter whether it was planned or not.
Aw... I honestly looked into the PPs trying to find something (obviously, there was nothing there ).
Well, Yuuta being good against lefties is debatable. He got the "southpaw killer" nickname because he had defeated like "8 southpaws in a row, incluiding Saeki D: " when in reality Saeki defeated him / let him win (I don't really remember it, all I know is that he wasn't better than Saeki).
Are there any news about the data book btw?
The data book will be released on September 4th. Sai is buying it as far as I know, so if there's anything important (except maybe if it's part of the interview), he'll tell us.
As for Yuuta, he's not someone you can't overcome, but he's better against lefties than against right handed players.
I don't know where to write this, but would Yuushi be able to beat the world of ice. With closed mind he was able to stop Momoshiro's insight entirely (Atobe's techniques are based off insight). What I want to know more more is whether it would able to stop Saiki. Tezuka said "Oshitari's presence is gone". Does that mean it has the same effect as In? He could just be a weak player but I feel like this closed mind move is more powerful than what was able to show.
Atobe's Insight isn't the same as Momoshiro's, it's unlikely that Yuushi would be able to block it with Sealed Heart. Also, In doesn't hide Sanada's presence, but rather sends out too many patterns for Saiki to progress. Personally I don't think Sealed Heart would be effective against Saiki or DT, but hard to say for sure.
I can assure you that Atobe's and Momoshiro's Insight are completely different:
Okay then I agree with you it won't seal insight. Will it seal Saiki though as Tezuka also lost sight of Oshitari's presence?
Small preview of the volume 11 cover to come out on Sep, 4th

Although, Konomi chose a diferent way to draw him, Oni is still ugly as an orc from The Lord of the Rings.

Mehhh, forgot to check the volumes thread.
And the Fanbook

Finally a HSer on a volume cover. I honestly don't really get why Oni wasn't on the Vol 10 cover, Vol 11 could have been Akutsu or Tanegashima. Although since he got the Vol 10 cover for no apparent reason, that might reinforce our (/my? Not sure how many people here actually agree.) guess that Fuji won't have a match for a long, long time.
What's the Scanlating group that brought NPoT to the current chapter?
They deserve serious props since not a lot of people wanted to take on the series.
