    I wouldn't really call it a remake. The original anime was great because the studio thought it'd be a good idea to go into original story instead of filler (and given the time FMA ran, I'm glad they did that). Brotherhood IS more of a faithful manga adaptation than a remake of the first anime.

    That said, I hope Bleach at least finishes this arc before going into filler - even if it's a long filler.

    Both the original FullMetal Alchemist and FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood follow the manga. The difference is that the original anime was based on the writer's notes and she decided to completely alter her own approach. Even in the manga you'll see a complete style break compared to pre-Hughes era.

    For Bleach: They can easily finish the winter war and go into fillers after that.
