REAL doing well is nice but other that, its kinda of a boring week in regards to this for me.

REAL also made me happy, I expect sales like that. I started Nodame, it's incredibly good, I expect it to be number 1 or 2 with every volume. This is the last volume though, 1 million seller down, 4 to go. I'm wondering if another series will make the leap. Maybe KimiTodo's anime can push it into the top 5. Seeing Strobe Edge make a big leap is my favorite thing this week! Week one sales increased by 30,000 copies over volume 6. Great series, a most read for shojo fans.

happy for Future Diary remaining in the rank, other than that, I was a bit surprised to see Bamboo Blade B.

this one makes me realize that I need to read more manga; especially REAL, Kuroshitsuji and Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service.

no WSJ this week, except for Naruto.

the fact that OP sold over a million more than Naruto and Bleach combined is just WOW.

and the number of WSJ series in the top 10.....

    Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

One Piece ruling the top by a large margin. FMA was close to breaking 6 milion. If it got another volume in it probably would have been higher than Bleach.

I find Bleach's decreasing trend between volumes 36-41 somewhat satisfying and interesting. Still far too high than it currently deserves but it makes me wonder if it will bounce back or continue to plummet next year.

Also Fairy Tail selling that much is disappointing.

    Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

    I don't get it....

    If One Piece Volumes sold:

    One Piece volume 53 (2,057,528)
    One Piece volume 54 (1,963,696)
    One Piece volume 52 (1,952,551)
    One Piece volume 55 (1,810,410)

The total sold should be: 7.784.185

But in the "top 10 sales as a series on 2009" says OP sold 14,721,241...

So... where are the other 7 millions missing????

Am I doing my math wrong? O.o

    Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

The other 7 million or so would come from sales of past volumes throughout the year.

wait, so its been almost three years since the end of 20th Century boys.... yet it manages to make the top ten of 2009.
its amazing how Urasawa manages to do this. I guess its due to the movie, but still. this is something.

I think 20th Century Boys did very well this year because there are two live-action movies were released on the same year, too.
