I am happy about Gangsta and Ran to Haiiro no Sekai. but it surprises me that Oboreru knife "only" has 17780 sold volumes from volume 13.

Toriko, Gintama, and Kuroko all still doing well.
Nice to see Beshari-Gurashi and Akagi on there, too.
Gin no Saji's doing amazing as well. Good to see Sunday getting a big hit.

I hoped for a little rise in Magi and Code:Breaker due to the approaching anime yet I guess the trailers won't do to much, also maybe next week we will have a lower #50 and we will be able to see some progress from the older volumes of Kuroko since #01 already broke the 500K barrier which Toriko has yet to accomplish.
Toriko's early volumes sold far more than that at this point. The series has circulated 13 million whereas Kuroko is something like 8-9 million at best. Total circulation at volume 17 was 7.5 million and that was announced a month ago. Toriko's first volume just wasn't on the 6-month or yearly charts in recent years because it came out so long ago (2008). Toriko 18 had 445K at last total, and 4.6 million total were sold in 2011. So it's safe to say plenty of earlier volumes have sold well over 500K at this point. (If you divide the 20 volumes by the 13 million and find the average, it's 650k per volume, and the ones that have been out for a long time will have sold the most. Whereas Kuroko's average is more like 440K.)
And I just noticed, #50 there, is that volume 14 of the ORIGINAL Rurouni Kenshin that came out like 15 years ago?
That doesn't make any sense... Rurouni Kenshin, even if gaining popularity over the movies and such, has had Kanzenbans and Bunkobans out for years. Why would an individual tankoubon sell so well?

I wonder, has Sket Dance done any better with an anime than it did before it got an adaptation?
I am surprised with Gin no Saji, never would have thought that it would sell so well.
It's also a pretty unique series, so that probably helps as well.
I really hoped Arakawa would start a new plot-driven series so I was a bit disappointed when I found out it was a comedy (just my impression from the first two chapters). Didn't impress me that much but going by sales it's probably a good series. Even if she's well-known there's no way the series would sell that much just because Arakawa is writing it.
On another note I'm really happy to see Magi up there! And still impressed by Kuroko's sales, it's really selling as much as Toriko does O_o I'm curious to see if that trend will continue
Good sales do not equal good product. Shonen Jack's line up proves this.
And hey, Magi, Air Gear and Silver Spoon in a single top ten? This was a good week.
Another point is the type of series and it's magazine: A WSJ series probably has it the easiest go gather a large fanbase because it's the most popular magazine. On the other hand Shonen Sunday has declining sales over a lot of years, so far that I would probably describe it as a downfall. Getting Arakawa was one step to prevent the magazine from selling even less - at least going by the volume sales this can be considered a success because her series is the only one besides Detectiv Conan that is selling this well.
And last but not least a comedy series will definitely have it harder to gather a lot of fans compared to let's say an action/plot-driven story. Mix all of this together and you get why I think that the series is most likely good.
I also hoped that she would write another plot driven story, but this was truly unexpected.
you know there's more than just author's "name value" when a series dethrones its magazine's uncontested best-seller in just little over a year. XD
