Indeed Bleach isn't one of the Shonen Jump series with a lot of yaoi doujins. The series with more doujinshis are Gintama, Reborn, One Piece, Naruto, Kuroko no basket and Prince of Tennis. You can see the doujinshi that are being sold on Yahoo Japan auctions here and which are the popular series. Those series have around 5000 or more (Gintama even 9000) doujinshis on sale. Bleach only has around 1000, which is a pretty normal quantity despite that Bleach has been one of the most popular series these years, but strangely hasn't so many doujinshi like people could think.

Yes, literally speaking you could define "otome" equivalent to "otaku". But unfortunately, the terms are not used the same way. The term otaku can be used to suggest a fanaticism for anything, but the words otome and fujoshi are given specific meanings that are meant to separate the two groups, as if they can't be reconciled. After all, its the otaku fans that gave fujoshi the nickname "rotten girl". At the same time many otaku enjoy yuri and GL without needing to define themselves as different from the rest. Its kind of a double standard. But yeah, otaku and otome are the closest thing to equivalents.

I think Bleach in general has a fandom going into decline, hence even though the amount of yaoi doujinshi is extra-ordinary, it's still low compared to other similarly popular fandoms.

Gintama seems to have a more well-rounded fandom though. Like, Naruto and Kuroko have strong niche fandoms found in fujoshi, specificially, but Gintama has a large amount of doujinshi that isn't BL-based either.

I had no clue about Yahoo Auctions. To have over 9000 doujinshi auctions going on....that's insane. And its all stuff that's already been bought that people are willing to resell. How long as Gintama being running for? That's like, an output of around 1000 doujinhi per year.

And when exactly has that ever stopped circles from making yaoi doujinshi...?

    Re: Weekly Oricon Comic Rankings

Hmm...Doubutsu no Kuni 11 seems to have sold a couple thousands less in its second week compared to vol. 10's second week...not ideal, but whatever. The story seems to be climaxing anyway, so I doubt they will cancel it. Not that 40,000 is necessarily cancel worthy for that magazine.

Sakamoto Desuga? seems to be pretty popular. Those look like good sales for a first volume Fellows!/Harta series. I just recently discovered it myself.

Several other series I like on the list. It's always nice to see your favs do well

I've been following Yahoo auctions since 2007 because I've bought many doujinshis there and Bleach never had many doujinshis compared to those other series. Reborn's general popularity has been in decline too, but it's still one of the series with more doujinshis.
Although it's true that now there are less Bleach doujinshis than before. Before could have around 2500 doujinshis on sale on its peak, but Bleach never had the quantity of the most popular series. The doujinshis with hetero pairings are many too in Bleach.

In almost every fandom, the yaoi pairings are by far the biggest part of the doujinshis. Gintama probably has many doujinshis with hetero pairings because, in proportion, Gintama has A LOT of doujinshis, but the biggest part are yaoi doujinshis too.

    Yes xD.
Indeed I don't understand what makes a series more appealing for yaoi fans or why certain pairings are so popular. Because sometimes is too weird. For example, the most popular pairing in Naruto is KakashixIruka, when they have hardly interact. And I don't think that Naruto characters (their design in the manga) are especially attractive.
