I believe he'll stay because he hasn't been given enough time to develop, firstly he couldn't play because the illness, then when he finally did play he was in a match he had no chance of winning plotwise. So given the hype surrounding him and the fact we haven't seen him he win an official match after his recovery I just don't think Konomi will just discard him yet.

Don't you think what Kirihara said will set him up for a match against Kazuya?

My theory is, the person who showed the most potential will stay, and the other ones will get kicked to lower the amount of middle-schoolers. My reasons for Yukimura getting kicked are the following:

-Other players were not impressed, nor did they comment on anything he did.
-Absolutely no tennis development
-No character development
-Hardly any screen time
-Played his first tennis match in the last chapters of the series

To me, these are sure signs of a character being abandoned.

About Yukimura take out without lost it may also be that he sick again or he will leave for some strange and honorable reason.

See more progress on Yukimura's skills it is hard to imagine. He seems perfect in that field. Yukimura suffered emotionally/physical illness
and seems to be recovered, including his defeat against Ryoma, but probably not enough development here in a way. It would be interesting to see him losing to anyone else and see what happens next.

The guys from the upper courts didn't seem at all impressed with him so we'll see....

They have the look "I'm better than you/I don't care/I'll kick you ass/Touch-me-and-I'll-kill-you/etc..." like Yukimura, Sanada, Echizen and others, right? That happens frequently. But only until they play against them personally can see really how good or bad this brats are, until then.



The people who show more potencial will stay in the team is a good point but also [I guess] they need work as a team, work together, etc.
They can be very good at playing but if they don't have the mentality of working together with each other this won't have much sense get the best players in a team

I just don't think any coach is sane enough to cut arguably the second best middle schooler from the team...

Maybe they'll all be split into different squads? The colour page from chapter could be one where Tezuka or Sanada are leading and Yukimura might be leading another squad.
