In what "image quality" do you watch the TV animation One Piece ?
I had the opportunity to watch the last episode (No. 462) in different image resolutions and felt like asking others how they are actually watching the tv show.
Some facts about the tv show in Japan (dear natives, please correct me if I'm wrong. )
Just to show as comparison how the different image resolutions look like. Please be aware that the images are posted in full size if you open the spoiler tags
- From Episode 207 on the image is produced and shown in Full HD resolution on Fuji Television
- The transport stream signal however is 1080i with 29.97 fps and has an anamorphic resolution of 1440x1080 pixels.
"former" Subs resolution (704x396)
And that's how the Germans probably would be able to see the scene if the episodes were going to be shown like the previous ones as Pan & Scan...
I've rendered the lower resolutions out of the 1080p scene just in case you ask how the webstream version looks better than while watching.

Honestly all those pictures look the same but in different sizes.
