I just noticed this
He says there's something wrong with his ears.
It hit me, he's a fox Right? That means he has SUPER hearing abilities. yet still he could hear a conversation a few feet away from him.
Could this have something to do with what the Vaizards are cooking up?
Is that whats affecting his ears?
I think Kubo dropped us a hidden clue there
I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you're getting at here. Isn't this just Komamura pretending not to overhear the conversation between Iba and Ikkaku? You know, the one about Ikkaku having bankai and hiding his true strength? At least, that's the way I understood it. I don't think there is actually anything wrong with his ears.
Ofcourse people would automatically assume he was just pretending but he could've been serious. He was actually wiggling his ear
he said my ears arent seem to be functioning TODAY, meaning something is affecting him in the real world.
I really dont think he was pretending
There isn't much reason to assume that a hidden meaning was in their.
He meant that he would pretend that he didn't know the truth for Ikkaku's sake.
Unless we get some information that shows that ears for whatever reason can be effected by how much spiritual pressure is around them.

Wow.....I think you're looking way too deeply into it.
Komamura was just pretending he didn't hear what Iba and Ikkaku were talking about....
Dude don't make a big deal outta this.... there is nothing wrong wid his ears, he is only pretending he didn't hear what Iba and Ikkaku were talking about (u know that bankai stuff)...
LOL, I think you are the only one here who seriously cannot take a hint. Komamura pretended not to hear the bankai thing in order to not screw up ikkaku, that is the kind of man komamura is.
I have been thinking. On the whole at least I assume Komamura to be the weakest captain by a longshot considering he hasnt displayed any particular skill in shunpo, kidou or hand to hand(he got schooled in that by Zaraki). Tbh he hasnt shown great swordmanship either, its just been...TENKEN-and hope for the best.
So far we've seen his bankai twice and seen it used once. Its been impressive even though it was just used to crush a fraccion. what gets me wandering about his power is that of the captains hes the one that we've probably seen the least of. True we have seen him go bankai but we have no info on his bankai other than what it looks like-we dont know if he has techniques for it etc. My point is so far the only 2 captains not engaged are him and Yama and I'm starting to get the feeling KT is keeping him in reserve and has made us all think hes uselss like Yami, only for it to turn out that hes a real monster-cos the more I think about it Aizen defo didnt want to let him go bankai and kinda HAD to use kidou to kill him because its so hard to slash at something that massive. So thoughts?

I not sure how strong he is, but I think he has more tricks up his sleeve. Maybe he can make the giant use an extremely big tenken.
Well, we know he's weaker than Aizen, and stronger than Pou....
Quite a large range.
He also held his own with bankai against Kenpachi for an unknown amount of time (from after Kenpachi defeated Tousen to the time it was announced that Aizen and co. were traitors).
He hasn't shown much to impress us so far in terms of feats, but mind you the only person he's lost to so far is Aizen.
Thats the weird thing-i kind of feel like KT is intentionally hiding Kommamura-when we were about to have an awesome fight with Zaraki the scene changed. And even Zaraki was impressed with Komamura's bankai. The bad thing is, unless he is skilled at kidou as well i dnt see how he could climb out of being the weakest captain.
well, according to the databooks (not the most reliable source, i know) he is supposed to be a more than profficient swordsman. we have also seen that he is maybe the strongest bleach character in terms of purely physical strength, cuz striking and destroying something big is not the same as lifting it and throwing it. and while the black coffin wasnt at full power, i dont think many other captains would be able to get up as easily from that.
IMO, koma isnt in the same boat as yammi, i just think if and when he does really fight we'll be surprised only cuz we naturally underestimated him due to his lack of screentime.
